"Bridge Street is one of the best kept secrets in Portsmouth. Is it even a secret, really? Set just off to the side of the main strip, Bridge Street is tucked in among the houses of Portsmouth residents. It is some of the best French food I’ve had outside of France, too. Their wine list is great, their chef is spectacular, and their service is mostly good but can sometimes be so-so (we’ve dined her probably five times and only had one not the best experience, so more good than so-so). Their Filet au Poivre and Coq au Van are two delightful recommendations and be sure you don’t skip dessert!"

"Very delicious food. The duck was cooked perfectly and was so full of flavor and very juicy. The goat cheese chicken in phillo dough was unique and had a great flavor also. The wine selection was good and had a wide range of prices. The waitress was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming."

"Perfect place for a romantic, cozy date night. We had made a reservation and were seated promptly. We each ordered the steak au poivre and it was perfectly prepared, very delicious! The potato pancake which was one of the side options was so good. The creme brulee and profiterole dessert we're a perfect ending to a nice dinner. Service was friendly and attentive, atmosphere is inviting and quaint. Would recommend and will return again."
