"We are in Boston for an academic competition for our sons and we are only here for a night. All of us were ready for a good meal after a 3.5 hr drive up. We decided to hit China Town and because we were all in for dim sum, I picked Windsor. BEST DECISION of the day. The food is so fresh, delicious, and the service was just as good. We loved it! We ordered a bunch of dim sum and fried rice; beef and pork. The best fried rice we have had in a while! The rice was cooked to perfection and the fried rice was made so well. If we visit Boston again, we will return to this place. The ambiance isn’t much, just a bunch of tables and some shared tables as most dim sum places do."
"Probably the worst restaurant in Chinatown and one of the worst restaurants i’ve ever been to. As lovers of the restaurants in Chinatown(and authentic Chinese food) we’ve always had positive experiences, was out with my partner, and his brother to introduce him to dimsum. As neither me nor my partner had been to this restaurant before (looked promising from the outside) we decided to check it out. First off the service, we were served by this middle aged lady server and she was so rude. She mumbled and made dismissive comments about how we ordered when she never explained the process. We walked in, and were seated and given menus. Apparently we had to circle the dimsum off the paper but we weren’t told that nor were we given pens to make that connection either. So she got really annoyed right off the bat and started our experience there awkwardly. Regardless, we were still expecting and hoping for delicious dimsum, so we ordered Spare ribs in black bean sauce, Spring rolls, fried pork buns, pork and peanut dimsum off the dimsum menu and beef lo mein. The spare ribs (in picture) were possibly the most unappetizing ribs i’ve ever been served in my life. They were also extremely boney and felt like i’d been served off cuts. The spring rolls were fine, only edible item of the night. The peanut and pork dumplings had literally no pork, only peanuts. And it didn’t even taste good. Tasted like someone steamed raw peanuts inside the dough and called it a day. Next, the fried pork bun, we were hoping this wouldn't dissapoint as how do you mess up deep fried pork buns? However they served us bland flavorless buns with 20% filling. honestly i was grateful for the 20% cuz the meat tasted awful anyway so didn’t need any more of that. Lastly the sticky rice, It had absolutely no flavor. the rice was basic stick rice with bits of sausage and shrimp and was so bland. Waste of money IMO, as you’re better off ordering regular rice instead of paying $11 for this. Not to mention we were led to believe the rice was off the dimsum menu(as that’s where we saw it) and everything was priced around 6 bucks per item however she charged us full price for it. Last the beef brisket Lo mein, it was actually ghastly. There was no beef brisket except for maybe one or two pieces, the rest was all skin and trip and fat, again serving off cuts like they did with the ribs. Not only were we served these awful pieces the noodles itself had no flavor. and tasted like they were cooked in dishwater. Also we were forcibly served tea without informing us it’s paid chargeable and not all of us even drank tea yet she charged us for all 3. The tea itself was pretty bad like it was basically hot water, absolutely no essence of jasmine or oolong or whatever they were trying to serve us. Finally, the rotten cherry on top, while we were paying the server literally bent over to stare as we filled out the tips part and kept glaring. Honestly this experience was definitely a 0 tip moment (i hate to say this as someone who understands the struggles and we always tip the highest amount) we still ended up paying 15% tips and she was frowning which honestly infuriated me after the horrific service and eating experience. It was a shame as my partners brothers first experience at dimsum was pretty awful. Anyway if you value your wallet, food and your mental health, please DO NOT go here! Plenty of other better restaurants in chinatown to visit."
"Windsor Dim Sum Cafe: Dim Sum Delights in a Cozy Setting When it comes to satisfying my dim sum cravings, Windsor Dim Sum Cafe is my pick. This spot has its charm, offering a good selection of dim sum that hits the right notes. The menu boasts a variety of dim sum options, showcasing the kitchen's dedication to delivering authentic flavors. Each bite is a taste of traditional dim sum goodness. However, it's important to note that while the dim sum is commendable, the restaurant itself is on the smaller side. The cozy setting may not provide the grand dim sum experience you'd find in larger establishments in the area. For those seeking a satisfying dim sum fix without the need for a sprawling setting, Windsor Dim Sum Cafe is a worthy choice. Just keep in mind that for the ultimate dim sum experience, you might want to explore other options in the area."

"Windsor Dim Sum Cafe located at 10 Tyler St, Boston, MA 02111 is a good Chinese Dim Sum restaurant, but their credit card minimum is completely unacceptable- $40 minimum!! They could easily lose their credit card ability if I complained to Mastercard. I have 200,000 plus view to my reviews/photos daily. It is strictly against credit card holders to impose any minimum charge amount - that is a fact! Besides, that the food is very delicious! Excellent, spring roll and shrimp, dumplings, nice and large and exceptional. But you should take credit cards regardless of the amount…. Have a service charge if necessary."
