"Their personable, informative customer service was greatly appreciated. We rented e-bikes which were top quality and so easy to ride. Very enjoyable 3 hours of biking - which was the perfect amount of time to complete bike path near the shop. Definitely plan to use in the future and try out their delivery service. TY!!"
"Went in today after riding the trail which was near by. Just going in for some water bottles Jay was super helpful and we walked out with with water bottles and a new bike rack. Ours was 16 years old and the new one is far more comfortable to use and folds up nice and neat. Jay took the time to get us set up and made sure we knew everything about the new rack."
"We rented two E-Bikes for a weekend on Block Island. We had so much fun with them! The equipment was top notch, and they delivered them to our door. The driver gave us a great tutorial on the bikes, answered our questions, and they even granted us a couple of hours on the return when we ran into a scheduling issue. Highly recommend!"
"Sometimes the best thing about a bike shop is what it doesn't sell you. I ride in South Country quite a bit during the better months. A new bike was on my mind and I was looking for a store in the region likeliest to find me with a breakdown. Stedman's has lots of fans among local friends and online reviewers so I went there first. With a straight-bar gravel bike bought from Landry's in Norwood, I was getting pretty tired of my hands getting pretty tired on long rides. Beyond holding the handle bar and not holding the handle bar there aren't many grip changes with a straight bar. Inquiring about other options (adding drop bars?) at Landry's, it was if I'd thrown them a physics problem - 3 different techs coming to look at the bike. No one was sure if it was possible. One asked why I would even want drop bars on a gravel bike. My only response was, "Why do half the gravel bikes you sell have drop bars?" Another suggested buying a new bike. So a new bike was in my head. A loss of confidence steered me away from that shop and eventually towards Stredman's. It had to be the best 15 minutes in a bike shop ever. Asked what I wanted in a new bike, I explained the handlebar issue and they suggested bar ends to add a vertical grip option. I went in looking to spend $2000+ and left with a pair of $20 extenders. That is some some serious integrity. Seems like their main goal is to have happy cyclists out there. I didn't buy a bike that day - but they bought a loyal customer. I will definitely get my next ride, and everything bike-related from here onward, from Stedman's"
"The Short: Excellent customer service. The Long: just bought a new MTB here, and it was a great experience, they worked with me around some timeline issues, a trade in process and even me trying to test ride a bike 10 min before they closed (Thanks Jim!). Usually I hate being passed from person to person, but this shop plays as a team and it was seamless. I interacted with 5 different people in the process, and each person was great and their records allowed them to know exactly where I was at. SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BIKE SHOP!"
