Fallen Leaf Bistro

"Fallen Leaf Bistro used to be my go-to breakfast spot in town. Recently, the quality seems to have really gone downhill. I’d say about 70% of my experiences have been disappointing in the past year. I keep going back for the 30% when it’s amazing. Today’s breakfast was probably the worst I’ve ever had. I asked for the bacon crispy, and as shown in the picture, it was inedible. My sister didn’t ask for hers crispy and it was so raw looking she had to take it off her sandwich. The eggs were so crusty and dry that it was impressive. The toast was hard and didn’t have any butter on it. The only thing I could eat was the tater tots, which lacked the Parmesan and green onions that normally come on them (when you’re lucky). I honestly can’t believe that this meal was allowed to be sent out. I would have gone back and asked for a remake but I had to go to work. I truly hope the quality of the food improves and becomes more consistently delicious, because when it’s cooked right, it’s the best in town."

"I am new in town and stoped by the bistro for a quick breakfast, the service was amazing, so kind and friendly. I also stopped by Bean me up to grab a coffee, and the service was just as exceptional. Food is fantastic and cannot suggest this place enough. An amazing addition to Rochester downtown."

"Fantastic spot. Like other reviews have mentioned, the most negative aspect is the size of the dining area. This is due to the quality of the food, though. I've had the pleasure of dining here many times in the past and always have been impressed. On my recent visit, I noticed that the portions seemed smaller than I remember, but the taste was still as I remembered! Fries served with no mention of cheese on them this time. I have a diary sensitivity and never tired them in the past, but I tried them this time anyway. Wonderful way to elevate French fries with the cheese and scallions. Perfect fry and seasoning. The same goes for the tenders. Layers of flavor and a meaty tender! Highly recommend!"
