"Been here twice. Great food. The bar service is fast and friendly. They ask your first name and remember it. The evening vibe is different than the lunch (breakfast?) vibe....but who is complaining about the hours of operation, not me! Kono's slogan is "Five Star Dive Bar". I agree!"
"Came here on a Sunday night for a beer and dinner. Got two bar pies which were incredible. Definitely some of the best in the area. Unfortunately, service was awful. We sat at a table near the bar, which was apparently supposed to be covered by the bartender, but she never came to take our order or bring our check. I kept having to go up to the bar. Also, I ordered a Fiddlehead IPA, one of my favorites/regulars, and maybe that's my mistake for ordering that at a dive bar, but it was awful. Something funky/off about it, either dirty draft lines or a really old keg. If you do go here, stick to bottles!"
"I love the food here, but I hate the Styrofoam containers that they use. Every time I order take out, I bring the food home to find melted Styrofoam from the fries/tots/onion rings. Look at the picture I've provided. The food melted holes into the plastic! It's a health hazard to eat melted plastic. I wish they would do something about this. Perhaps, they can switch to eco-friendly containers made out of paper. Who uses plastic/Styrofoam anymore? Even Dunkins phased out their Styrofoam cups years ago."
"Great dive bar with great food and a good atmosphere. The wait staff were fantastic and welcoming. A great place to grab some food and drinks and watch a game. Tons of flavors of wings, it was a shame I only got to try 2 of them. Fish tacos were flavorful and fresh and some of the best I've ever had. Can't wait to go back!"
"What a surprise this place is! Great, interesting food for fabulous prices. From the outside it looks like a bar, but inside you see that it's clean, doesn't smell like old smoke and spilled beer and has been thoughtfully decorated. Service was very good. The fried bacon Mac and cheese balls were good, had a nice texture. Stuffed quahogs were very very good, had an almost creamy texture to them. Usually stuffed quahogs just taste like Pepperidge Farm stuffing in a shell. Kickin' Crab soup was good, but the flavor could have been a little stronger. I must say, our entrees were wonderful! Broiled scallops and mashed potatoes. To die for. Tender scallops. Skin-on, homemade mashed potatoes. We will absolutely be back!"
