"I got the Italian sandwich, and it was pretty good. I liked all the different flavors in the sub."
"This tasty little Italian restaurant is not an easy place to find, but being tucked away in a small alleyway clearly doesn't hurt their business. I was looking for a light sandwich for lunch, but here they don't serve anything light, here a sandwich is a meal! Being an Italian restaurant surrounded by Italian markets that sell everything homemade, I felt it necessary to try a meatball sub which was excellent. The house made meatballs with the perfect consistency for a sandwich, smothered in a rich sauce and stuffed in the fresh sourdough bread was excellent. It's a great little takeout shop that serves excellent food, if you're lucky you might find a seat at one of the two tables outside. Cheers!"
"Found this little underground gem in the north end. I was super hungry at 10:30am and couldn’t decide where to spend my hard earned cash. I decided to go for a sfogliatella since I’d never had it before. It’s a crispy pasty with an orange cinnamon ricotta filling. Perfect eat as I romped the streets of Boston. It satisfied my fruity pastry craving for only $3"
"After walking through a narrow brick alley I found this little Italian market tucked in the back of the Bricco restaurant. There is a lot of fresh homemade food here. When we arrived, an older lady was working behind the counter. She didn’t talk or smile much, but I have come to expect that in the more traditional environments within Boston. I ordered the Italian sandwich, paid with my credit card and she proceeded to put it together. There is no seating so we walked to a park nearby and ate. Not the best Italian I’ve had but it was good. Nothing about it wowed me. Maybe their other sandwiches are better. The price is great and there was no wait compared to seeing the lines on a Saturday night at the nearby restaurants. I’d give this place a solid 4.5 because I will always try to support these little hole in the wall establishments over the nice sit down restaurants."
"The sandwich was as good as people have said. The meats, while not packed on, is tasty and the overall sandwich is well balanced with meat, cheese, veggies and the oil vinegar dressing. The bread had body but was eat and it handled the dressing well. There is a sign above the alley and you go down a little bit and the Salumeria is to the right and the bakery is to the left, down some stairs."
