"Later departures no AC on flying cloud sloppy crew. No care no concern soaking wet benches. I don’t think the Flying cloud is sea worthy calling in the Coast Guard to do surprise inspection"
"We took the ferry from Hingham to Georges Island on a Saturday at 10am. Plenty of parking ($4, bring exact change cash), 25 min ferry ride each way, and 2 hours on the island. No problem bringing our stroller. Our toddler was happy to run around and explore the fort and grassy hills on the island (it was very windy but warm), and had fun on the short boat rides. Kind of the perfect amount of time for a morning excursion. Expect to bring food and there are no trash cans so carry trash back with you. Dogs are welcomed but not inside the interior of the fort. There were grills available and lots of picnic benches. Park rangers offered tours and we're available to answer questions. Good bathroom facilities before leaving Hingham and at the visitor center on Georges Island."
"Took the ferry from Hingham to Boston Long wharf and walked around Boston downtown. Saw Paul Revere and walked parts of the Freedom trail."
"Really good customer service. We got stuck on the wrong island at the wrong time with the wrong ticket. And one of the captains was very gracious and letting us ride with him to the island we were trying to get to. Beautiful boat and good snack bar too. Who do you keep get beer onthe boat?"
"This is such an asset to Hingham and the surrounding communities. I don't know why anyone would opt to take the commuter rail with this option available. I have taken it several times and it has been a great ride to Rowes Wharf. Especially nice on summer nights. I envy the commuters who take this regularly. Friendly staff and reasonable rates. I wish they would discount passes for people who want to purchase say 10 rides who don't need monthly type option."
