Nantucket By Water

"We recently went out on the “Kids Fishing” trip. While we enjoyed the boat ride and we caught many small fish, we were all disappointed with the boat captain. He was not engaged and seemed to be more concerned with his cell phone. Given the price and that I prepaid a 20% gratuity, I would have expected more."

"If you have the right expectations, then the sunset cruise could be a good experience I suppose, but my husband and I were not expecting the boat to be what I would compare to a golf cart on land. We pretty much just “putted” around the coastline on this tiny, uncomfortable boat that is likely what they also use for whaling excursions, not for what we were expecting to be a romantic sunset cruise. Unfortunately the clouds covered much of the sunset view, which is obviously out of the control of the excursion company, but from where we were on the water, I am not even sure we would have had an optimal view of the sunset anyways. It was just very lackluster for us"

"We did a chartered sunset cruise with our family. It was great! Captain crew and bartender were perfect for us. We had the whole Shearwater boat. We played music via Bluetooth. Had food from Bartlett’s Farm brought in. And we danced on the bow for almost the whole cruise. shearwater is an upgraded whale watching boat so it’s not a wooden luxury yacht but it was PERFECT for our crew. Don’t hesitate to book this trip. Just don’t take our time next year."
