"Bad costumer service. It’s so much better to stick to city pass. This company makes it so that you have to give out information to third parties such as your credit card. Reservations are required also and if you use the company more than twice in one day, despite different tours they will not allow you to use and you will get a fee."
"TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! My family is travelling to Oahu, but some of us are arriving on different days. We booked a 2-day all-inclusive pass for those there for a few days and a 1-day all-inclusive pass for those that were only going to be there for a day before moving on to Kauai. We booked the passes through my dad's work benefits group and had no problems receiving the passes. We went through and made reservations for the attractions we wanted to see and thought everything was fine. Then, a few weeks later, I got an email that one of our tour times had been cancelled and that we could reschedule for a different day at an earlier time. The whole family was only going to be there for 1 day together, and really wanted to do this Diamond Head tour. We were happy to drive ourselves, but didn't want to pay the parking and reservations fees that would have been covered by the tour bus. I called GoCity's customer service and spoke to a rep named Harry. Right off the bat, he was not helpful and said there was nothing he could do and that they were not liable for the tour company cancelling the tour. I said that they were offering poor service by falsly advertising a tour I was no longer able to go on and not stating anywhere when I booked that there could be cancellations. He proceeded it is written in the "Terms & Conditions" that they cannot be held liable for tour cancellations and that the best he could do was cancel the pass if I was in the 90 day refund window. Luckily, I was, however, we were still planning to use the pass for other attractions as well, so we did not want to cancel, we just wanted a voucher or discount since we would now have to pay for the park entry in addition to driving ourselves there. He said that was not part of their policy, but he would see what he could do. Then he came back on and said since we booked through a "3rd party" we need to ask them for a refund. I asked to speak to a manager, having a background in customer service and knowing they are typically more helpful/able to offer solutions, and he said he would need to take my number and have them call me back. I said I would rather wait on hold than risk not ever getting a call back and he said that's not the procedure. I continued to press to speak to his supervisor and he continually cut me off, was rude and abrasive, and made it very clear he was not willing to help. I started explaining that because of my background, I know there is a supervisor available, and continued to ask to speak to them. He once again cut me off, and stated that he was not going to continue "talking in circles" and if I would not accept the procedure he would end the call. I told him that was unacceptable and he hung up on me. I am going to call back to report this to his supervisor, if I can even get through to someone other than him, but wanted to share my terrible experience and warn everyone to READ THE FINE PRINT! They falsely advertised tour options, and had no remorse when it ruined my family's vacation plans. I understand that they have policies and procedures in place, but they didn't care at all how it was affecting our plans, and were very rude and unhelpful when I called. I think the idea and the tour company's represented are great, but the customer service itself was terrible! As a side note, I also called Kaimana Tours, the tour company, directly and she was much nicer, and tried to find a solution. She explained that it was due to the new requirement for reservations for non-Hawaiin residents to enter the state park and she had been limited in the number of tickets she could get. She apologized and said there was still nothing she could do to get me a reservation, but would be happy to put me on their waitlist and offered other tour options as another alternative. She never cut me off, spoke in a kind tone and made other suggestions as a native to the island, that I thought was helpful! Definitely think twice before booking GoCity. it might save some $$, but also may not be worth the headache!"
"I bought a 3 days pass for Las Vegas so we got a premium experience and it was fantastic. Entry was easy using the QR codes on my phone and we saved a ton of money on entry fees, which helped us experience a lot more. Excellent bang for the buck!!"
"Worst. Customer. Service. Ever. Firstly we purchased the GoCity Card for NYC on their website, the money was taken out of our account yet no receipt was given to us through our email. We called GoCity and they told us to purchase over the phone, we proceeded to do so. We spoke to "Leslie" where we placed our order, we gave our card details and then the email address, the email adress was incorrectly heard by Leslie, however , without authorisation and verifying our email address was correct, the funds were taken from our card, we tried explaining our email address that was taken was incorrect however Leslie conveniently "couldn't hear us, and our phone broke up. We immediately called back on, waited 20 minutes and got hold of Leslie again, as soon as we mentioned that we had recently placed an order, conveniently Leslie could not hear us again. At no point did Leslie attempt to call us back and verify our information. Another 20 minutes go by after calling back a 3rd time, I pretended to be placing a new order and once Leslie acknowledged I could be heard, I mentioned I was calling in regards to a previous order, we proceeded to give the correct email address, and received out GoCity Card, we have not checked to see if they work yet, however wanted to note how displeased I am with the way this order had to be dealt with. Not too mention our friend is yet to receive their refund. Never have I experienced such poor service, you do not in any circumstance take money from someone over the phone without verifying the email is correct and that it has been received. The whole process honestly felt like a scam. I will never purchase with this vendor again, nor recommend anyone to do so."
"Don't believe everything that is stated on their website. They refuse to take responsibility or provide assistance for their false content. On the website it states that entry into the water park in Legoland , CA is included with the entry ticket. It was not honored and I had to pay an additional $50 for my daughter and I. When I contacted Smart Destinations, I spoke to a Leslie and long story short "They felt they were not responsible since I purchased their GoCard through Costco" A GoCard purchased though Smart Destinations, Costco or whomever else sells it is a GoCard by Smart Destinations, its features, benefits and everything else."
