WIMCO Villas - Vacation Rentals in the Caribbean and Europe

"Love the Villa and the Staff but beware of the HERTZ VEHICLE DAMAGE SCAM We rented a Kia Picanto for the holidays. They offered us a new vehicle and I declined because I have 20 years of experience vacationing in St Barth and absolutely every vehicle on this road has multiple scratches and dings. Unavoidable. They told me they had no other vehicles available. I always get the insurance and this time was no different. I thought I retired the vehicle in pristine condition but after they washed it they managed to find a small scuff on the bumper. I’m sure they waited to notify me until my flight departed but we were delayed and I received a text message notification of a $687.41 damage charge. I left the terminal and  went to the Hertz kiosk. I truly believe that the agent who perpetrated the fraud expected me to have already departed. When confronted with the situation she claimed to understand but refused to reverse the charges exclaiming that the manager could only do that. I even brought her into the rental lot and showed her that absolutely every car in the lot had damage. The agent said that the front and back bumpers would have to be painted completely in order to justify the charge. Another lie. That vehicle will never be taken out of service. My recommendation is to avoid Hertz at all cost. There are plenty of alternatives. Always refuse a new vehicle at any agency. Driving in St Barth is like a demolition derby. The damage insurance is also a scam. Nothing is actually covered unless the vehicle is totaled"

We stayed in a villa that was well suited to our family and they took care of every detail, down to an on-island concierge that helped us with everything from grocery delivery, hiring a private chef, to booking excursions for us. "Another wonderful experience with Wimco (as always) - our 3rd trip staying at a Wimco property. Our group stayed at Villa Angelique in St. Barth - exceeded my expectation! The concierge staff (Emily & Tracy) in the states were highly proficient in securing our villa as well as reservations for dining, a yacht charter, as well as in villa private chef. Emily & Tracy were a joy to work with as their attention to detail was very appreciated. Upon arriving in St. Barth we were kindly welcomed by Lucas, our island concierge - Lucas transported our bags to our villas where our rental cars were waiting for us. Lucas was available for any last minute requests which he 100% accommodated, he was so lovely! Our whole group was incredibly pleased with our experience, from every interaction and touch point. 10/10 would recommend."

"Outstanding stay with WIMCO at villa C'est Ma Vue in St Jean. Enjoyed dinner on the terrace by the pool most nights, with stunning views of nearby islands and a few colorful sunsets. Our concierge Enzo was on top of each and every request, including setting-up a really great private chef dinner on our first night, and delivering some special wines from La Cave. The WIMCO air team took great care of me as well, flights were a breeze. I'll be back!"
