"Absolutely the worst lumber yard in the state! They do not care about the customers or their customers clients and they will lie outright telling you materials will arrive. We have been trying to get “stocked” decking to a project since October 4th. It was delivered to the wrong place then they kept selling us materials that weren’t in the yard. Finally Dicky the yard manager promised us on Thursday he would get materials to us this morning December 4th and this morning it is going to be Wednesday. Terrible service and one of my most frustrating experiences in 44 years of working in the trades. I would avoid them like the plague and go anywhere else if I were you!"
"Great place to get all your lumber and supplies. You don't need to pick over 50 pieces of lumber, whether your getting 2'x4', 2'x6' or any other size. NR JR"
"Bought our entire house of Andersen windows from them. Had one break and opened up some dialogue with the salesman to get a replacement. It's been almost three months and it's still not replaced, nor is it even on track to be. Worst communication and service-after-the-sale ever; they struggle to get back with you. Really, you have to follow up with them. Also they job out the installation to.... whomever, I really have no idea. I guess I'll just be living with my broken window in the meantime, ready to fall apart in a million pieces. Anyway, I ended up ordering directly through the manufacturer, which wasn't all that great an experience either, but at least they got the window written up and ordered in under an hour. I even paid more going this route, but idc; the main thing is it's finally ordered and will be installed all in one charge. UPDATE: Response to owner's response: Good lip service, but sorry, I think it's too late for you to do anything for me. I already ordered the replacement sash directly from Andersen. Bottom line is I was sick and tired of waiting and having this dragged out and I've moved on, because I deserve better than this."
"I recently ordered a door and wanted special panels on the side lights. I was told they would call and find out if this was a possibility. I never heard back from them until I received the door and the panel on the door did not match the panel on the side light. I'm not sure why it was made this way or why Coventry Lumber even shipped it to me this way. After going back and forth they would not take responsibility of the door being ordered wrong. I had to pay an additional $500. I was told well you signed the work order. I went to Coventry Lumber knowing I would pay a little more but I figured they knew what they were doing and it would be worth it. Was I mistaken."
"I wish I could give negative stars. DO NOT have these people design anything even remotely custom for your kitchen (its WAY out of their league). They had to order an island cabinet (3) times because we kept receiving the wrong one- which delayed my home build and cost me a fortune in returning installer fees. Lora also ordered me the wrong built-in microwave and trim kit size for the cabinet she ordered. It was sitting two inches off of my island and framed in black plastic- she had told me it would be flush with a stainless trim kit. We couldn't use it in the space but because the installer unboxed it, Coventry Lumber appliances wouldn't accept a return and we ended up losing $500 plus dollars due to their error. We had to use a custom microwave trim kit manufacturer to correct the issue. She has absolutely NO CLUE what she's doing and they made no concessions or offers to correct her mistakes. We also had to pay someone to custom fit our wooden hood insert because she didn't realize we had ordered the wrong size insert for the larger hood size we switched to during the design phase. We had to pay an additional $400 dollars to get it customized to fit because we couldn't return it to the appliance store after it was unboxed. All and all, she cost my husband and I over $1500 in correction-related costs and Coventry Lumber did absolutely nothing-- zero accountability. We will be sure to share this experience with everyone we know. Just horrible, zero care for people, truly disappointing."
