Beaudoins Hardwood Flooring

"Beaudoins did a beautiful job on my 115+ year-old maple Floors. What's even more impressive is that a previous contractor had ruined the floors and I was hopeless that the floors would ever look good again. It's hard to lose something so special that you have lived with for over 30 years. I'm not really into things. I am more into experiences. The truth is that I had an awful experience of renovating my house with my previous contractor. However, Beaudoins' Professionalism and expertise provided me with The positive experience that I needed to really feel successful about renovating my house. They are such kind people. They were always on time. They always did what they said they were going to do. For me since, we had a tight timeline they were able to finish my floors in a week. "Update: Adding that the transition from the existing to new hard where the carpet was that was toothed in was seamless - thought that was definitely worth mentioning. Joe (and his wife Jill) was amazing to work with. We had Red Oak floors and my wife wanted them lighter, warmer and "less red" - oil stain was too dark and water stain she didn't love the little bit of pink that shined through so we tried multiple color stains ourselves and Joe was there every step of the way through that process, eventually sanding our floors to sample three stains. It was quite the back and forth in our decision making process, but Joe was patient and understanding, only caring and wanting to make sure that the color came out the way we wanted. We learned that red oak is tough to get lighter without the pink coming through and that even hand staining a small section to sample would be darker than the eventual actual machine stain used that provides the consistent coat, so keep that in mind. We ended up going with 50/50 duraseal special walnut and gray combination and love it. The gray helps remove the red/pink while the special walnut brown actually helped lighten the red oak. In the end, it ended up being even lighter than expected from the hand stain sample we saw, BUT that's actually what we were going for so there's more of a golden hue than a light brown - my wife was thrilled. But back to Joe, once the wood arrived and acclimated and we picked the stain, the process where we would have had to be out the house only took a few days to lay hardwood in two living rooms and sand/stain the entire first floor.
