"Be careful with their warranty and no hassle promises. Bought a transfer pump on 12/19/22 at the Pittsfield M.a. location and when I used it a couple days later it started smoking and leaking water into the motor. Went to the Troy N.y. location to exchange it for another one today but I was told "since the box was open I couldn't return it". I explained that I only wanted to exchange it for another one and I also bought the 2 yr warranty also but they said I needed to process a refund online. I called customer service and they said of course "sorry" but if I need another pump to just go back inside and purchase another one. I asked if he was serious considering what just happened. Literally a complete waste of time. I just finished the refund process online and it says allow 8 weeks for them to credit my card. What a joke and a complete waste of money. Bad business practice selling a broken product and making it difficult. SHAME ON HARBOR FREIGHT!!"
