"What an amazing old world restaurant, and it happens to be the oldest in the North End. The bartender, the hostess, the manager (probably the owner) are all perfect! As soon as they turn from me they are speaking Italian; I know that’s not unusual in this neighborhood, I just want to point out that this place is the real deal. The cocktail was epic, the wine selection perfect, the stuffed mushrooms over the top, and the carbonara…. Authentic, amazing!! Finished off with an afogato… Definitely my new go-to. The valet was also professional and took great care of me."
"We have gone here for six years and tried just about every restaurant in the north end. There is one thing that keeps us coming back and it’s Omar. He is a class act and a wonderful man who makes you feel welcome and at home in this establishment. The oldest restaurant in the north end. The food always OnPoint. We travel down from New Hampshire just to eat here, amazing every time."
"This is the oldest restaurant in that area, service was really good, ambience can get improved specially the booths, and maybe add a couple of restrooms will help to keep the line for the washrooms short. The food was ok, we ordered fried Calamari which was a bit bland some salt and pepper will do the trick, the meat ball’s appetizer were really good and their sauce was amazing, so I did my calamari in that sauce. May husband ordered Bombolotti alla boungustaia and I ordered Gnocchi alla Norcina. We ordered a bottle of wine, which was not too expensive, we enjoy dinner but it was very filling, I couldn’t finish the gnocchi."
"A pleasant dining experience. The staff is professional and courteous. The food was good, but didn't necessarily get blown away. Went on a Sunday night, so all restaurants in the neighborhood were very busy. One issue comes to mind, I had to request fresh black pepper a few times before I was given some. They gave me powdered black pepper initially twice. Seemed a tad but strange since it's not a unique request. Portion sizes were just right for me. Fresh bread was served at the start. Food arrived very quickly upon ordering."
