"I have never wanted to get up and leave in the middle of a nail appointment my experience here was HORRIBLE and I paid 70$ and. 20$ tip for the worst customer service and just plain disrespectful for crooked nails the polish was nice But every time she put a new gel coat on and put my hands under the light it hurt SO much I instinctively pulled my hands out and she said "oh if it gets too hot then take them out" but every time I would she literally told me "no no no it's not hot" at one point she literally took my hand and put it back under the light she told the other worker "oh she keeps saying that it's too hot" and the girl said 'oh yeah it does burn at first' But the girl doing my nails kept getting visibly irritated and kept telling me it's not hot I said "I am telling you it's burning me. I try to keep my hands under but it hurts" and instead of trying to help you make me look like an idiot Notice how all their apology comments are all exactly the same not even acknowledging what their apologizing for just saying the same thing for every single person noticing I didn't receive an apology comment and the lady was so rude to me She was literally rolling her eyes and yelling at me telling me my gel polish wasn't too hot and rolling her eyes when I kept taking my hands out because it was literally burning me I looked it up and it only burns if the nail tech did something wrong This place is horrible now reading all the other one star reviews I understand I'm not the only one that had a horrible time at this place"

"Was disappointed. Very unfriendly and quick. Can still see my old color on my nails. I am a local and try to support local businesses. I think I need to be done with star nails both the Newport and Middletown location have declined and have very poor customer service."

"Honestly this is the last time I will ever give this horrible, reckless salon a chance. Both my daughter and I were cut by the manicurists (see pics). Two different manicurists both of whom cut us. They charged $10 extra to shape the nail into an oval. Not kidding. But fundamentally they’re rude and combative to the customers. They speak Vietnamese to each other while openly insulting you. This has been an ongoing problem for years. If anything it’s slightly worse now than it used to be. Obviously this is a strong recommend not to go here. I reported them to the RI health department but four months after the fact, this review suddenly isn’t showing up on Google despite their history of documented health violations and bad customer care. So this vendor can petition to remove a review based on the fact that they do not want new customers to see what they do. How is that helpful, Google?"

"Horrible experience. Right when I walked in, my friend and I werent greeted we were simply scoffed at and asked if we had an appointment. our appointment was for 3 o’clock. I had to wait 20 minutes to actually sit down. My friend picked out her color after they rudely told her to. Then she asked for French tips in that color, and her nail tech simply said no and laughed at her. it was extremely disrespectful and my friend was really confused and upset because he didn’t give a reason that she couldn’t do the French tip. She was really upset because these nails were for her last homecoming tomorrow because it is her senior year. He proceeded to laugh after he said no to her and then did her nails poorly. he did not shape them evenly nor do the proper care before applying nail polish. he was sloppy and unkind and she is extremely disappointed but shes to kind to write a review so here I am. Now for me, my nail tech was rude and rushing through the process. She made me feel like an inconvenience and was very aggressive while doing my nails. she hurt the skin on the outside of my nails multiple times and kept rolling her eyes every 10 minutes like it was such a chore that she had to my nails. She also did my nails poorly and didnt shape them evenly. we are extremely saddened and disappointed and I do not recommend star nails to anyone. I hope someone takes the time to read this and realizes how rude the star nails crew is and that they shouldnt go there. I had high hopes for this place and my friend and I were let down. Thank you star nails for ruining our homecoming."
