"When I was gifted the knowledge and privilege to taste authentic Jamaican beef patties I was too young to understand them or how to eat them. A good friend of mine taught me how to walk into this humble establishment and how to even act when I approach the Lady at the window. At first glance this place doesn’t look like much but as you very well know I’m not one to judge a place for their aesthetic. Instead I took my cues from an expert who knew exactly what he was doing when faced with the dilema of ordering at this restaurant without clear view of a menu in sight. Today I strutted myself in there and walked up to the window greeted the lady and asked for a Jamaican beef patty with Jamaican cheese and a small grape nut ice cream. You can’t come in here and not try their delicious ice cream. Go for the authentic grape nut or indulge in something devilish like the double rum raisin made with Jamaican rum. My dear friend used always get his patty sandwiched between two slices of coco bread."
