7th Wave Restaurant 7 Tuna Wharf, Rockport, MA 01966

"PLEASE REOPEN THE UPPER DECK!!!! Many locals have been waiting a LONG TIME for this because it is one of the ONLY locations in Rockport with this magnificent view and why many of us go there!! Shame! Please either open it or pass the restaurant along to someone who will do so and realizes that the ambiance is just as important as the food!! Which by the way is quite mediocre here. Sorry:/"

"I can see why this place has mixed reviews and you can definitely believe the bad ones. The service was a joke, we were one of three tables and got seated at 7pm, they were not busy at all. Our server was more concerned with packing up for the night than actually tending to customers. She came over twice during the entire meal, once to take the order and a second time when we called her over to get the check because we had been waiting a while. We had the mahi mahi special and while the fish would have been good, it was completely raw in the middle, the side of roasted corn it came with was not good, it should have been called dehydrated corn. Our server never came back to check on us so I never got to send it back. Waste of an evening and money, would not recommend."

"Beautiful location. Our meals just didn't impress, and our staff were forgetful and not attentive. I hate giving bad reviews and this one isn't bad but not great , again the location was beautiful especially if you get a seat with view . The meals were just rather bland and the staff although not to busy seemed to busy to remember to bring another round of drinks and some sides . I had the Trinidadian shrimp curry with mango salsa. The portion were small and the spices bland , I think Trinidad I don't think what I had ( the salsa was good but maybe one spoonful) . My friend who had the fish and Chips was happy with the portion and I saw why . There are so many places to go in the area and perhaps because it was on Bearskin Neck they had what I was served,but being local I'd happily make the 20 min treck to Essex or the 30 min treck to Ipswich and walk away full without the beautiful view. Though Essex has some great views if you eat on the river ."

"We had lunch here. It’s a good location as almost every table has a view of the harbor. There’s restaurant seating as well as a bar with a few high top tables. The menu has a good selection and they have a full bar. Good food and good atmosphere. Our waitress was friendly and attentive."

"We had a wonderful experience at 7th Wave! The view is spectacular, the service was great, and the food was super tasty! The appetizer mussels were a huge portion and excellent! We also ordered the garlic shrimp, which were also super tasty! The bread was just okay, but it could be a personal preference! We also ordered the fish and chips, which had a very light batter! Update: our second visit was not as good... the fish and chips were still delicious! But the steamer clams were not very good... they were very sandy. The Caesar salad was a bit salty and the lobster roll was just okay. The garlic shrimp were also tasty! This trip was a 3, so the average score has been a 4."
