The Breakfast Nook

"I didn't care for our breakfast, At All! Who screws up breakfast? I don't know if they gave us discarded food or where it came from because the potatoes had a waxy coating life they were fake or sitting somewhere out there. The pancakes were a little overcooked, the sausage was overcooked and the eggs were blah! My partner didn't care for his breakfast either. The ice water tasted bad but the coffee I think was the best thing I had. Oh, and it cost 40+ for my 12 dollar plate and my partners 10 dollar plate. I guess onions and extra sausage add up. I won't be going back there. I rather keep doing what I'm doing and keep making my own food at home! Thought I would have a nice breakfast out but it wasn't anything I expected for a simple breakfast!"

"Escape the Cape bridge traffic on your way home by setting off early and having breakfast here. Really friendly staff and even friendlier prices. After the Cape you’ll be pleasantly surprised. As a self-proclaimed Eggs Benedict aficionado the poached eggs were perfect and the breakfast potatoes super tasty."

"Good place for breakfast. Prob the best in the area. Better than Leo’s and pier view for sure. Hash is always great. Friendly service. A lot of times can never get a second cup of coffee though. Service sometimes hit or miss but that’s ok."

"Wanted some corned beef hash so found this place in area I was in and it had good reviews so I went. I was thinking it had house made corned beef hash from reviews but not the case. But it was a good portion of canned hash that is similar to most and it was done crispy as I'd requested so I enjoyed. It was pretty salty, more so than most I thought, but I did not add salt. Taste it before doing that. The potatoes also seemed to be heavily salted-I wish they'd let you add your own salt! I like salt, so someone who doesn't would find them overpowering. Service was good, portions and prices good. The reason I only gave 4 stars is they had an option on marble rye that was thicker than the regular rye. That sounded good and I ordered. When my bill came I asked why my meal was 8.49 instead of the 7.99 on menu. I was told my rye bread choice added 50 cents. She said she told me that it was an upcharge, but if I'd heard that I would have passed. Come on-how much more is bread that is 3/16 inch thicker costing you? This seemed like a ripoff. Food was good although salty, I will go again but will not order the marble rye."

"I've been going to the breakfast nook for awhile now and it's always been "pretty good", until today. I ordered a breakfast sandwich to go (sausage,bacon, cheddar, English muffin). I was standing there when it was done cooking and live 2 minutes from the place so it should have been fresh and tasty. It wasn't. Just looking at it was unpleasant, and the flavor was very, very average and had an extremely greasy taste. I tried to finish it until I almost cracked a tooth biting into what I can only assume was a bone or something from the sausage. The egg was good but the sausage and bacon were something I'd expect from McDonald's honestly. Worst part was the sandwich doesn't come with home fries, what place doesn't give home fries with a breakfast sandwich..? Very, very disappointed. Sorry guys but you can do better."
