"The food isn’t bad but the service is beyond horrible. There’s a lady who doesn’t speak English (which isn’t a problem) who usually cooks and opens the store. I came during breakfast hours in two different days and she gave me some of the worst attitudes I’ve ever seen. Firstly nothing was cooked and it was 10am (they open 7am) and I asked for tea and she said she didn’t make any yet. I politely asked when will food be ready she literally said “I’ll make it when I make it” and continued to talk on the phone and ignored me. I mean if you don’t wanna run a business then don’t open one. I truly hate their service. I’m only giving them 3 stars for the tea because it’s my favorite in Boston."
"Expand your culinary pallet with the cuisine at Ashur Restaurant. One thing is for sure each time you visit Asher: The food is delicious, and you are most certainly welcome. The sambusa are great! Don't forget to ask for the busbus sauce! The house sauce is homemade, and if you don't get it, you're severely missing out. If you haven't been here yet, you're missing an absolute gem. Come get some delicious, authentic cuisine ASAP."
"I went here with friends. I wouldn’t really call this Middle Eastern cuisine. The spice level is less than mild. The food (goat cubes, lamb, chicken biryani, samboosas) also came out astonishingly fast, a sign that it was reheated. One of my friends said the chai was fantastic though. The restaurant was very community oriented- I’d come here again for the vibe, but not the food. The staff was very pleasant and polite. Something to take note of is that all of the patrons seemed to only have chai and not food. If you want something strong, spicy, and fresh at 7 pm, go to Nachlo- they also make homemade mango lassis. Their dishes are also $15 compared to the $20 here."
"Halal restaurant. $26 for one big sharable plate for 2 people. There wasn't much lamb meat on our plate compared to other reviews. It was a late dinner w arrival at 9.30pm but spices were spot on and rice good too, with exotic sodas like french orangina, uk vimto and Shani soda in arabic."
