"Place is same as it was 30 years ago. Good average Chinese food. One of the good ones left in newton and needham that you don't get ripped off. Food is not fancy and in today's world good prices. Went for lunch today. Lunch specials from $11.50 to $14."

"Old school good Chinese food. Dumplings a little "doughy", chicken and rice dishes spot on. As it is Mandarin cusine, not spicy, tell them to spice it up on hot dishes or ask for hot oil. Inside is very clean, decorations and design are from years ago. Service outstanding."

"I’m a huge fan of places like these. To the uptight snob who claimed the place isn’t “modern” enough, seriously get over yourself. That’s the entire charm. American Chinese staples (which honestly are more American than hamburgers at this point) served in a chill and kitschy but clean atmosphere. I actually really like the vibe. The food is the expected mix of sweet/spicy/sour that you’d expect - but thankfully not over-fried or all vegetable filler. I came for a quiet lunch but defintely would be great for a family dinner. This is really the kind of east coast Chinese restaurant I miss living out West. We’ve got nothing like it and it’s a shame. The food was flavorful and the service was quick and friendly. Total recommend."

"This was a wonderful Christmas Eve meal! We started with a wonton soup, which i thought was the highlight of the meal but I was not a fan of the eggs in it. We also got the chicken fingers which were cold but tasty, especially with the sauces provided. The vegetarian springrolls with the duck sauce was a gustatory delight. The vegetarian fried rice was a bit greasy but great. And the shrimp and vegetables was a nice respite from the greasiness, a healthy meal. Overall, amazing and the service was truly remarkable!"

"I loved how fresh the food tasted! The orange chicken and cream rangoons were our favorite. The staff was very nice and even fixed something for me. A very clean place and restrooms. Kids friendly but elegant too. We definitely recommend!"
