Abdel’s technique and his attention to detail were just incredible. He was running behind, yet still took his time to make sure my haircut was perfect. Took a little over 30 minutes. And for $30? VERY reasonable for Boston. Those new trendy men’s salons popping up all over charge much more, take less time, and don’t do nearly as good a job (at least they didn’t for me). "In similar circumstances, I would’ve dropped a star or two, but please stick with me to the end- it’s worth the read. My usual spot wasn’t accepting same-day reservations and I needed an urgent haircut, so I found this place had availabilities and booked a reservation 3 hours in advance. I arrived 10 minutes early and there was a young kid who had just started getting his hair cut… I ended up waiting a total of 40 minutes from the moment I arrived to when I was able to be seated, but something stuck out to me while I waited. I watched how carefully he was cutting that kid’s hair and how he was keeping the kid entertained, and I decided to hold off on my judgement. From my chair, I could instantly tell this was a hardworking man who took his job seriously, and enjoyed what he was doing. I don’t say this lightly, but I felt like I had to make it known to anyone who will listen: this man is an artist. I know this won’t translate well over text, but I’ve had $80 haircuts and none of them came close to the level of care displayed in this small barbershop. He was very courteous and welcoming. We spoke a bit about our cultures and where we came from, but just for the first few minutes, which I appreciated; I’m not one to enjoy talking the whole time I’m having my hair being cut. His attention to detail and love for his craft easily made this one of the best haircuts in my life, and I will certainly be coming back. Highly recommend anyone giving this place a try, I had no expectations coming in and ultimately was absolutely blown away by this little gem of a barbershop."
