Scituate Animal Shelter of Massachusetts is a compassionate institution dedicated to helping pets and the people who love them since 1992. Located at 780 Chief Justice Cushing Highway in Scituate, Massachusetts, United States, our shelter provides a safe haven for animals in need.
One of our beloved residents, April, is a sweet and affectionate cat who is looking for her forever home after her owner passed away. Despite being FelV , April is a champion cuddler who would thrive in a loving environment with other FelV cats or a calm dog.
Each year, we find homes for over 500 animals and reunite lost pets with their owners. We never euthanize for length of stay or shelter space, ensuring that every animal receives the care and attention they deserve.
In addition to our adoption services, we offer free pet food and supplies through our Community Cupboard, low-cost neuters, and veterinary care for pet owners in need. We also assist with trapping, neutering, and releasing feral cats to improve their quality of life and prevent overpopulation.

"This place is a joke. I was told they called my vet regarding current animals they stated the vet said there was no record of my dog. When I called my vet they stated no one contacted them. They also stated they left a message on my phone and when i asked about it further they stated they called the number on the app. They gave me a bogus number with first 3 digits off. What they didnt realize is that i took a screen shots of the app and it did have the correct number on it..better off going through paws watch or petsmart"
