"Customer service-wise, they’re a decent shop. But for $13, I sometimes walked out looking like I never got a haircut and the fact that they don’t go to just bare skin is ridiculous and unheard of at a barbershop. As an OTCN candidate, it’s the only option but honestly I’d go elsewhere."

"OLD LADY named MARIA. She need to be retired soon! Blunt, rude, never even smile, the worse thing is she doesnt even know how to do haircut. She just wanted her works get completed quickly. Worst bar ber ive ever experienced in my life."

"As far as NEX barbershops go, not bad. However, always extremely undermanned and struggling to keep up with the volume of customers. Nowhere near enough barbers. Secondly, the ungodly amount of senior citizens (70+) that come in during prime hours forcing active duty military to wait around for haircuts is absurd. Active duty military in uniform on base should ALWAYS have head of the line privileges. Preventing active duty military from getting back to work just so you can go home and watch jeopardy and family feud is annoying."

"I never give reviews, but I have to give for the NEX Barbershop. I have been going to Joan for the last two months and she has done a phenomenal job. She takes her time, uses her own equipment, and is very clean. The haircut takes about 30-45 minutes, as it should. Also I wait 20-30 minutes just to have Joan cut my hair. People love to rag on the NEX Barbershop, but if you take the time to look around inside you’ll find good barbers there like Joan. So if you’re in Rhode Island and looking for a haircut then go to the NEX and wait for Joan. You won’t be disappointed."

"I never make reviews but this needed to be said: Absolutely horrible experience today with Lynn. I keep my hair pretty short and get my hair cut frequently so my hairstyle is not particularly hard. Asked for 0 to 1 high fade, 3 on top, and a trim in th front. Spent less than 3 minutes in the chair after which I had razor burn in multiple places on my neck and behind my ears, the sides of my head had an obviously stepped and uneven appearance, and the front was completely lopsided. On top this, she was apathetic and, frankly, rude. I have had great haircuts at the Nex Barber in San Diego, Yokosuka, Sasebo, and Guam for less money than here. This place shouldn't even be trusted with shaving the heads of officer candidates."
