Papa Pete's Home of the Giant Pancakes

"Delicious pancakes! We came up to Bennington for the weekend and I had to try the giant pancake once I found out about it. We went on Saturday around 11:15/11:30 hoping to make it in under the wire but they were no longer taking new customers so we went elsewhere. Then Sunday we made sure we got there around 9:30 and were able to get in after about 20 min. It was then about another hour to get our food. We weren't in a rush so it was no problem and had some delicious hot chocolate while we waited. We met some people who drove up from Rochester just for breakfast and said they do it fairly often. I don't know if I'd go that far for this meal, but if you're around and have some time it's delicious."

"Excellent breakfast and conveniently located along Route 9! Very friendly staff and large portions. The “regular” pancake is massive, and they have a Giant one as large as a pizza pan! The omelets, eggs, and home fries were also great!"

"Really like this place, the food is great. Especially the giant pancake. The only drawback is the speed of getting the food (super slow) and they close 30 before the posted time online. So if you arrive too close to closing time, you will miss it . Worth the visit and if you are up to a food challenge try to break the record and eat 3 or more giant pancakes. The record holder ate four."

"Great experience and felt like a local when we visited Papa Pete’s from out of town. The service was great and the food was delicious. We ordered the famous pancake with banana, kitchen sink omelette and Granny Smith apples omelette. All delicious!!! Ps. This is the smaller pancake!! We will have to be back for the 14” and bring some friends."

"Breakfast was absolutely fantastic! We shared a plain small pancake, a Philly Cheesesteak Omelet, and a traditional breakfast with over easy eggs, bacon, home fries, and toast. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the pancake was easily one of the best, if not the best, pancake we had ever ate! The friendly service and staff tied it all together, and made it feel like home! Great stuff, we were really happy we stopped in!!"
