"TLDR: oily, thin, and everything was barely eaten I really wanted to like this since I LOVE Indian food. I got the paneer tikka, lamb curry, garlic naan, and mango lassi. Both currys were extremely oily and thin. Both barely eaten. Paneer tikka had an odd sweet/sour taste. The paneer’s texture was off too. The mango lassi was also very thin and weak. Like a slightly mango tasting milk. Garlic naan was meh. Tough. I really want to find something nice to say but I can’t. Not worth your money. The person I was eating with agrees."
"I was in Keene for 4 nights. I tried Curry Indian & Pakistani Restaurant the 2nd night. Loved it and went back on the 3rd night. Being not familiar with this type of food, I told the guy with me that we would have to use the internet to figure out the food. The owner heard that and offered his assistance. He was a great help with this. I got the Lamb Curry, with Basmati Rice, Garlic Naan Bread, and a Mango Lassi. My co-worker got the Chicken Tikki-Marsala, with the Rice, and Naan. Service was fairly quick. Food was great. The owner talked with us throughout our time there, but not too much. Very friendly and funny. The next night, my co-worker got the Lamb Curry, and I got the Dal Tadka, a dish with lentils in a sauce with spices. We loved both dishes. Great food and great service again! *Don't let the location deter you. There are located in a strip mall. Just a plain looking restaurant with great food and service!"
"Pretty sure by the time I click 'Post Review' this place will be permanently closed. Had dinner here in-house an evening around 5 pm. We walked into the empty place, with empty showcases and shelves. We spoke to a young woman who said they were out of chickpeas and a couple dishes we wanted to try. Being out of chickpeas is like a beach running out of sand. Still wanted to try the place. We had to wait a half hour for them to make our food. Now at this time all the staff are eating - get this- dishes with chickpeas. Imagine that. We got our food for dine in except they packed everything to go. Had to unravel packaging at the table. There was a second bag we opened that I assumed was ours too because it had the items we ordered. As we were eating the owner came up to our table and asked for the bag back, for a woman standing there waiting for her food. They accidentally gave us her bag, that we opened. He wrapped everything up and re bagged it right in front of her and gave it to her. I would have been mortified. So pictured here was $64. For 2 people. Tasty food but extremely small portions without key ingredients. That will be our last visit.."
"Ten out of Ten for this delicious honest-to-goodness Pakistan-Afghan down home style eatery where the food is great! Succulent expertly grilled chucks of chicken tikka on skewers is put in a rich Masala sauce for you, Beautifully scented Basmati rice melts on the tongue, fresh buttery garlic nan bread arrives all hot and crispy, and don't miss the chana masala (chick peas) in a rich hot delicious sauce. We loved the fresh chicken shish kebab, too, and the hot black tea with sugar. Proprietors Mohammed Waheed & Begum Saadia are engaging, well travelled, warm, welcoming, hospitable, and very charming. They're kind and laid back and on the night my husband and I visited to collect our food their phone didn't stop ringing with delivery orders. Meeting this beautiful couple and one of their 7 children, and chatting in their relaxed restaurant with them was a treat on this wet snowy February evening. They made time to chat with us and we left feeling like family. We love this family oriented place, it offers great authentic food at good prices, the spices and cooking style is Afghan and Pakistan with a large selection of side dishes. The Basmati rice was delicately scented with cloves. The fresh green chopped coriander on the garlic nans made them look and taste beautiful. This place is no-frills with good honest cooking and great tasty food served for quickness on paper plates with plastic spoons - just as it is in Lahore, Kabul, and London where I'm from. Don't visit and expect this restaurant to have fancy china plates or plasticcy anonymous looking staff in uniforms, or a neat and tidy franchise feel or appearance. Expect instead plain looking tables and chairs for diners to eat at, a chilled drinks cabinet, a tv showing news stations from all around the world, a couple of pot plants, and nothing else but a window cut into the wall through which you can watch this couple cooking the best food! Sir Mohammed Waheed and Begum Saadia thank you for keeping it real, we thank you for your 1st class hospitality and kindness to us and will be honored to return to you soon."
"Food was really good so I gave it three stars for the food. It was very authentic. They were very friendly and helpful and take pride in their food. They lose one star for cleanliness as everything here looked like it needed some scrubbing. They lose another star for prices. It cost us about fifty dollars for lunch for two here and we were served on plastic plates. Way to high. We have another authentic Indian restaurant we visit in another town that is full service with liwwr prices. It's to bad because the food was really good."
