"I took my dog there hoping to find ways to manage her anxiety. The actual session with the vet was great, she knew what she was talking about and had several recommendations. Problems arose after the visit. I was charged a $315 new patient fee that I was not told about prior to visiting. I thought my dog needed some vaccines so off the top of my head I listed a few, and they went ahead and did all of them without looking at her records. After I looked at them when I got home, I realized she did not need 3 of the vaccines she got. I also asked them to do the Distemper vaccine, and instead of doing it, they sent a sample out to see if she really needed the vaccine and did not tell me. I left the visit thinking she had all necessary vaccinations. When sending her reports to my dog's daycare they discovered it was not done, but unnecessary vaccinations were. I then called the Holistic Vet Hospital where the lady that answered the phone kept insisting that I was told about the new patient fee. As a college student, I absolutely would not have gone there if I knew about it. There are plenty of vets out there that do not charge a "new patient fee". This phone call is where she also explained how they do the Distemper vaccine to me. This would have been fine if they told me during the visit, because then I could have said do not send it out, just give her the vaccination. This fee was an additional $75 that could have been avoided. Overall, I extremely disappointed and will not be going back because of the lack of communication, and the rude customer service."
