"I lived here for a year, and I definitely think this is a great place to land if you plan on moving to the metro west area. My apartment was very clean when I arrived, and the appliances were very nice. The rents are relatively reasonable (knowing how expensive greater Boston is!), the property is in very good shape, heat and AC were also free, and management was helpful when I needed them. You're also within walking distance to a small shopping center, and being close to route 9 and mass pike, you can very easily get to Boston. I suppose one qualm I have is that, because of how the plumbing works in the building, you can't pick whether you get air conditioning or heat. Management seasonally changes which one is running in the buildings, and this isn't always ideal. Some of the days in May/June can be quite warm. It's a small problem that didn't really affect my stay much. If I didn't decide to buy a home after my lease was up, I absolutely would have stayed here longer."
"I moved to Waterview Village from Minnesota for work and I've been very satisfied living here. The community is kind and my building is very quiet. Snow removal in the winter is prompt. Response to tickets opened for the maintenance team is also quick and well done. There's a CVS and a grocery store in walking distance and nice well-maintained laundry facilities. The main building has a number of community amenities including a gym, mini theater, general community room, working room and a meeting room. Facilities are also used for community events. Some that have occurred since I moved in included cookie making and movie week during school break. Overall I'm quite pleased with Water View Village and CHR realty. Update Sept 2023: I've moved to a new place in a new state but move out was smooth. I spent some years here and it always went well. Take care WVV folks!"
"I meant to leave a review earlier. I lived here for a year back in 1978. During the big Blizzard of ‘78. Mike Dukakis was Governor. My apartment was the studio on the top floor. Rent was cheap too. ……. and yes, this is all true"
"I rarely write reviews. Usually too lazy to do it. But it turned out to be such a perfect place for me as if God sent me here for my hard work :)) I chose this place mainly for its location (I was looking for a new job at that time). The complex is on Rt 9, right in the middle between Boston and Worcester. You can quickly get on I-90 (5 min), or I-495 (10 min), or I-95 (17 min). Next door - Kiddie Academy and CVS, across the street - a plaza with Stop & Shop, bank, gym, and a liquor store. I was also pleasantly surprised when I visited to sign the contract! It's a beautiful place both outside and inside with many flowers, professional landscaping, a nicely kept swimming pool, and a big free parking lot. The main building has a gorgeous lobby, conference room, fitness room, community room, mini-movie theater, and pay-by-card laundry room. They are upgrading, one by one, other apartment buildings as well. Initially, I rented a 1 BR apartment in the main building. Later on, I moved to a 2BR/2BA at Edgewater II, which they are currently upgrading. My apartment looks like a brand new one (modernly designed, freshly painted, brand new appliances & cabinets, new hardwood floors)!! I was thrilled to find a separate laundry room with a new washer & dryer and built-in cabinets right there, inside of my apartment. The living room/kitchen combo has modern recessed-looking ceiling lights and is very bright. I like its open-space design where I don't feel claustrophobic. The master bedroom has two closets (one for her and one for him, which is a little deeper with more shoulder width). They also installed built-in wardrobes in closets in all rooms, and lights automatically turn on as you open doors. Hardwood floors are in all rooms, which is extremely rare. It's especially significant for people with allergies. Most apartment complexes are either fully or partially carpeted. Also, I absolutely love my balcony. It's HUGE!! I put my earbuds in and dance there almost every day without disturbing my neighbors, day or night, rain or shine. BTW, both Water View Village buildings I lived in are extremely quiet; most neighbors are either professionals or retired couples. The office staff and maintenance team are incredibly nice and helpful. As I moved in, there were a few glitches, as with all new construction or repair projects, and they handled everything quickly and tactfully. So I feel blessed living here!! A gorgeous apartment & grounds, close to everything, with friendly neighbors and staff. I also can easily find help when I need it."
"The worst services I have ever been offered by any housing management! I lived in Edgewater II building last year. Every month they had disturbed my personal life with the events like loud construction noises, periodic water outages, power cuts (for some time). On top of that their representatives do not understand their role (customer service), being rude, replying emails completely irrelevant information. I had to look for an alternative accommodation so that I can live peaceful life. I regret my decision of choosing CHR for my housing."
