"I am a current resident. I’ve been at the property for 5 years. Raks Chey in the front office was able to help me transfer to a better unit and she was great! She is super helpful, responsive, and easy to deal with. I really appreciate all her support and I feel she went above and beyond. She’s very good at her job. Maintenance has also been super helpful and responsive with supporting any requests. Thank you!"
"If I could give it a 0 rating I certainly would. I've been living here for just over a year, and I can't wait to move. Maintenance is extremely disorganized, it is very difficult to get a problem resolved. I'm already giving up on online shopping as most of my packages were stolen. And even when deliveries are made to the locked room, they disappear with our packages. I am extremely frustrated as I have had dozens of my packages stolen."
"first 2 months moved in the washing machine wasnt working/didnt get fixed for those 2 months, dishwasher hasnt worked for 4 months now always water down on the bottom, maintenance works so hard but they probably dont want to hire more people because it costs more - waiting now going on 5 months to use the dishwasher in peace but we have to pay for water.. sink overflows when the dishwasher runs and the toilet handles have to be pressed for a few seconds to flush down.. maintenance takes months to come because thats how they run this place... I just dont know why we have to pay for water when half the things in this place doesnt work. Why charge luxury priced rent for unacceptable living conditions?"
"I lived here for 7 years. The first 5 were excellent under previous owners. The last two were not so excellent. 1. Mice infestation. 2. Cockroach infestation. 3. Last but not least - a RAT running up and down the hallway. If you choose to move here bring plenty of traps. Good luck. Place sucks"
"THIS PLACE IS A CORPORATE OWNED DUMP. (see photos) Please note this place should have ZERO STARS. A family member, as well as a friend, lived there for 6 years in two bedroom apartments. My family member moved in 6 years ago and my friend was there for much longer. They both enjoyed living there until UDR purchased the property. Then, in early 2021, UDR, Inc./United Dominion Realty, L.P., a Colorado-based real estate investment trust company bought Union Place Apartments for $77 Million. This publicly traded company is, according the UNITED STATES SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION is "a self administered real estate investment trust, or REIT, that owns, operates, acquires, renovates, develops, redevelops, disposes of and manages multifamily apartment communities" DISPOSES OF? Yes...and they dispose of people. In April, 2022 she received an EVICTION NOTICE to vacate the property within 2 months and that they were not going to renew her lease. They are doing this to ALL tenants, including some in Section 8, and other affordable housing programs. My mother is not in such a program, but she is a senior citizen, which should be a protected tenant according to the state, but apparently is not. Why are they doing this? They say they are doing this to renovate the apartments, and raise the rent, in case of a two bedroom they are raising the rent by $600. When I look at the website the 2 bedrooms are going between $2,369.00 for a 13 month lease and $5,501.00 per month for a 3 month lease...??? Since this company took over they have fired all but one maintenance person, there used to be 5 on staff. And many maintenance requests took days to complete because there is only one employee. Also garbage and recycling piled up and was/probably still is, absolutely unacceptable. They also changed the package delivery system and told Amazon, USPS, UPS, and FEDEX to just dump all people's packages outside by the outside mailboxes or piled outside the main doors of each complex. MANY packages were stolen on a daily basis. And many perishible packages are left to ROT IN THE HOT SUN. My family member received a package of rotting pastries over a week after it was delivered. It was a gift so she had not been alerted. This happens to all the tenants. Also, since this company took over, they are harrassing a family, including a child with disabilities to try to force them to move out. They are also charging for Handicapped Parking Spots, which is illegal. I could go on about how this apartment complex has gone down hill, but I feel like the company does not care, as they will probably "DISPOSE OF" more tenants, as well as the property, while not properly disposing of the garbage. I am happy that my family member and friend no longer live there. THIS PLACE IS A DUMP."
