"I had extensions put in for the first time on 8/4/17 at Salon Karma from Bianca. Less than a week and $1080.00 later I had to take them out due to lumps/sores caused by the extensions. It was $900 for the extensions and on the advice of Bianca, I left a 20% tip. She told me that was customary and I realized too late that I had been scammed. I sent Bianca photos of the lumps on my head and requested that she take the extensions out as they were extremely itchy and I was very uncomfortable. I was met with great resistance and she told me to come in and have a lesson on styling them! As far as the lumps went she said "Wow" and went on about how that has never happened to anyone before. I was appalled at her dismissiveness & reaction especially considering she received an $180.00 tip! I finally had to take them out myself. On 8/17/17 I went to the salon and spoke to the owner, Tanya, to see if I could get any reimbursement. Much to my surprise Bianca had never mentioned a word to her. I showed Tanya some photos of the lumps I developed due to the extensions and she informed me she would speak w/ Bianca and the manufacturer and get back to me. She assured me I would be reimbursed something. Well, it's 8/29 and I haven't heard a word. I have called repeatedly and the receptionists that answer are beyond rude and insist that the owner is never there. Tanya lied to my face then avoided me; very unprofessional (at best). I intend to get a lawyer so this is not the end but what a shame I have to go to this extent due to the shortcomings and bad business practices of the owner Tanya at Salon Karma . If I could have given zero stars I would have. Also, don't sit on the green cushions if cleanliness is important to you. On top of their misrepresentation, the place is filthy. Go somewhere else folks, hair salons are everywhere and Salon Karma is the worst!!!"
