"If you’re a red head (natural or artificial), you have to see Jamie! Extensions are always a win too. Love it here"
"I’ve been going to La Bella since they opened and I’m not going anywhere else. Everyone is always so friendly and welcoming. The salon is always so bright and clean. I’ve used them for weddings for makeup/hair and my friends also loved them. I always get asked who does my hair and of course I tell them La Bella!"
"God, I hate doing things like this. Leaving bad reviews gives me so much anxiety and guilt, but I HAVE to warn anyone who will listen. My sister and I went to get our hair done here. Admittedly, my sister’s hair came out perfectly fine! It’s not exactly what she asked for, she’s a bit disappointed, but at least she feels confident enough to wear it out. Sadly, we both got our hair done by the same person and I can’t share her confidence. I asked for something pretty specific. I had a photo of exactly how I wanted it coloured and a separate photo for my cut (the cut looks great) but my problem is with how my hair colour went. I came to the salon with 6+ months of regrowth. (No worries! My hairstylist was already aware of this and had seen my hair before she accepted my appointment.) The banding was a little crazy but nothing impossible to fix. The bottom of my hair was already a level 8 and I wanted to get *all of it* to a level 10. The goal? Silver. I was assured it would be possible. The term “blonding expert” was used. My hair was blonde on the bottom and a dark *dark* brown on the top. But I had faith! My hair lifts surprisingly easy! Always has! I’m no novice to crazy colour/bleaching! I knew what to expect! But my hairstylist seemed to have a lot of doubts, and then started foiling my hair. The problem? She only foiled the *top* of my hair. As though she were giving me highlights. Which isn’t anything close to what I wanted or asked. I should have caught this and known it was a red flag. But I’m painfully shy and didn’t want to throw questions at her or offend her. She seemed to know what she was doing and I’m no hairstylist. So all this time goes by, and she suddenly says it’s time to wash me out! I was shocked. The bottom of my hair had not been touched. I knew if she tried toning it, the bottom wouldn’t take because it wasn’t light enough to go silver— but the top of my hair (freshly bleached) *was*. Which meant I would have three different colours in my hair. I let her wash me out though, expecting her to correct the bottom of my hair afterwards. She didn’t. She was halfway through my cut when she realised she had *heavily* missed certain areas and had to *re-tone me*. I had to go back to the sink and get toner *reapplied*. It was a bit upsetting but at the time I was just so grateful she seemed to care enough to fix her mistake at all! She finished re-toning my hair, cutting it, styling it. Had three other girls come up and tell me how great it looked, finished my sister’s hair and sent us out the door. When I got home, I was a sobbing mess. In the harsh lights of the salon my hair appeared well enough blended and put together (though nothing close to what I asked for), but in a real mirror or natural lighting you could see it for how it really was. Allow me to paint the picture: My dark *dark* roots, fading into an orange/burnt brown colour from missed toning application, to an almost *pure white colour*, to more of that orangey brown, to the level 8 hair I came in with because— guess what? I was right. The level 8 hair I had didn’t take the new toner. It wasn’t light enough. So, I paid $250 to have silver hair and walked out with dark brown/orange/white/orange/sandy blonde hair. Please be careful if you go here. I was so so so heartbreakingly disappointed. And I don’t think I’ll ever be going back/am currently seeking out a proper salon to fix my poor hair. (On the bright side: my hair still seems really healthy, and I think once a proper stylist gets hold of it, it’ll look really great.)"
"My experience at Bella salon was great. The service, staff and the outcome of May hair was beyond impressive. The staff has years of experience. I had a keratin treatment and was so amazed on how my hair turned out. My daughter has highlights and keeps returning back after 5 years and that tells you plenty especially she is 21 years old and in college. Thank you Bella hair salon. Carvalho and Alvarez family."
