"I’m writing this as I’ve been waiting for a pharmacist to pick up my call for 35 minutes. I saw a doctor today who prescribed me a medication for coughing fits that I’m having. I checked on the CVS app to see the status of my prescription, and saw that it is “on hold”. I’m trying to reach a pharmacist so I can assure my prescription is filled by the time I get there, so that I don’t have to wait around the store for a half hour while sick in order for my prescription to be filled. Given that I’m still waiting for a pharmacist to pick up, I’m guessing that I will have to go to CVS to advocate for myself in order to get my prescription. I’m not sure what’s going on with this location but it’s starting to really affect us patients as well."
"Chaos and incompetence is best way to describe this cvs. Unhelpful and clueless techs who could not even figure out how to get a prescription transferred from a different cvs. they don’t answer phone even after long hold times (20 mins). Lack of clinical knowledge is evident. There is always a long line to pick up and then they send you to back of a second line if there is a question. Using a copay card is like asking them to reinvent the wheel. They are a disgrace to cvs and not fit for purpose. The staff are rude and dismissive of customers. In reading previous reviews I see that none of this is new"
"This was another terrible experience. I have notified my physician that I will no longer use this CVS. I first waited in line on Saturday at 2:30 for a prescription that was supposed to be ready Friday at noon. After a half an hour I could no longer wait so I left. I came back at 6:05 only to find that the pharmacy was closed. I came back on Sunday, again waited 30 minutes in line and was told my prescription was not on file and I had to go to the Drop Off window. After waiting another 15 minutes I was told that the prescription was was not ready and I should come back in a half an hour. After I expressed my displeasure (politely because it was certainly not the poor technicians fault) it was ready in 15 minutes. I am sorry to leave this store because it is so convenient to my apartment, but I cannot have to worry each time I need a prescription. You need to hire more staff."
"So I just got out of the dental office after a surgery. I am picking up the prescription from my doctor. I waited in line for more than 40 minutes, and after my turn came the assistant took all of my information (took his time as well) and said that he cannot give me my medicine today. I was disappointed because I thought that they just did not have it, but he said that they do actually have the medicine but he is too busy right now with the customers to go get it for me. I was so surprised since I was a customer as well. He said that he is trying to help me and that I could come back in an hour. How is this help? Super disappointed."
"Do not get your prescriptions filled here - it will easily take 30-60 minutes after the time you get to the store, even if you call ahead. The pharmacy is chronically understaffed. As a result, you'll wait in a ~15-30 minute line when you first get there. Once you get to the counter, they say that your prescription "is not ready yet" but will be ready in "30 minutes", even if you called ahead and the automated system told you that your prescription would be ready for pickup after a certain time. They are often so behind, they only expedite and start your order once you show up at the counter. Then, after your ~30 minute wait, you get back in the 15-30 min line to pick up your prescription. When this happened the first time I went, I thought it was a fluke and gave them the benefit of the doubt. However, I've now had the same experience three times in a row, and do not intend to return to this location again."
