"I would give a negative rating if I could. The pharmacy is absolutely ridiculous and extremely unprofessional. A family member of mine had surgery and went to pick up her scripts and as of now it has been OVER 48 hours and she STILL does NOT have her medication. When we called, the pharmacy hung up. When we talked to the store manager, we were advised to go somewhere else because their pharmacy is a joke. The manager would rather turn business away than correct a clear growing problem they are aware of. I wonder if they would do the same if it were them or their family members who needed medication. Run, don't walk away from this Walgreens!"
"No one in the pharmacy answers the phone. Rude customer service when you have a question. When asked why my prescription was not filled and I missed three days on it I was told "it's because we have other things to do at this job and we're behind". My medication can NOT be cut cold turkey and the pharmaceutical staff does not care one bit. I gave over 4 days notice before I was out to fill it and they still did not care. Horrible, zero empathy, and always acts like they do not want to be there."
"Evidently pharmacy can’t be bothered to do their job. Simple prescription of of children’s fluoride that was suppose to be ready yesterday at 10am, still not ready today 6pm. But i can wait or come back in an hour for it. The excuse its not ready, vaccinations, funny i didn’t see a line of people waiting for shots. Not the first time its taken days to get a script filled. Definitely gone down hill."
"Yesterday I called automated system to have my prescriptions refilled. I went in today to pick up prescription at 1:00 pm this afternoon and they were not ready yet. I asked the gentleman waiting on me when they would be filled and he assured me anytime after 1:30 pm. I told him I would be back later this afternoon. I went back at 4:45 pm to pick up my prescriptions and I was told by the young lady that they were not filled yet and I would have to come back later. I am completely out of my medication. Walgreens is aware of this and I cannot go back until sometime tomorrow afternoon. First I was lied to about when prescriptions would be ready. I made a trip for nothing. I am without my medicine. Poor excuses and poor customer service is not a good business model."
"The last week of May 2023, I renewed a script via the automated phone system, so of course, I entered the script number as on the bottle. In 2022 my regular doctor sent me to a specialist who increased the number of pills from 1 to 2 a day, same medicine. I have had this new script refilled at least twice. Since there were no refills left, the doctor had to authorize the script, which was for 90 days times 2 pills, 180 total. Somehow, the pharmacy called the wrong doctor, my regular one. He refilled his old script for 1 pill a day so when I picked up the script, I noticed the price was different so I checked in the bag and discovered the mistake. I brought this to the employee's attention but she confirmed the order, I pointed out the doctor's name being wrong, told her the correct name and asked for the rest of the pills. The pharmacist became involved and by the attitude I received, this was a big problem and wasn't going to happen. I insisted by asking how, since I called in the number was the same script not refilled. When they stated a mistake had happened I thought it was going to be rectified but instead I was told to call in a refill in 40 days rather than 85. I didn't agree with this method but the pharmacist said that's all that could be done. I asked if they could call the correct doctor but they said no and also that the insurance wouldn't approve. I suggested that if the insurance company was told of the mistake that the insurance claim could be amended. I was told no. So I left being very dissatisfied. This is one of a series of difficulties we have had with this Walgreens. The first week of June, the specialist's office called and told me they had been contacted by the pharmacy & had authorized a refill. So I thought maybe the pharmacy had been able to fix the error. However, 2 weeks later I still hadn't been contacted so I called. I was on hold 2nd in line, then 1st in line but it continued on hold for over 45 minutes! When I arrived at the store, there was a sign posted that the pharmacy was closed and would open at 12:30pm, that being 5 minutes before, I walked through the store to see the pharmacy gate closed. I waited several minutes until a store employee walked by and I asked for an update, I was told it would open soon. However it didn't, so I decided to run a couple of other errands. It is difficult to understand how a pharmacy can close when it is the reason the store exists and that essential employees leave before other employees arrive to take over. When I got back at about 1:15 the pharmacy was still closed but someone was inside. When the gate went up and it was my turn, I asked for the script but was told there was none. I said the doctor's office told me 2 weeks ago it was authorized and since I hadn't been contacted by Walgreens and was on hold for 45 minutes earlier and no one answered, I decided to stop in. I'm informed my insurance company wouldn't cover the 2nd script. I maintained that the first script was wrong and needs to be rectified. I'm told I have to call the doctor, I have to call my insurance company and I have to do whatever to fix their mistake. The pharmacist prints out this second script from the first week of June insisting I read each line as he points to it. He continuously refuses to discuss the first script from the last week in May despite my efforts to get him to address it. I don't care about a script that they're not going to fill anyway and it's irrelevant to the problem with the first script. During the first week of July I had another prescription that needed to be refilled, so I checked a few pharmacies and picked one to call as they have locations all over the country and good reviews. They said they could transfer my prescription that still has one refill left. A short while later they called back that Walgreens told them that the prescription was canceled and couldn't be refilled, to contact the doctor to send them a new script."
