Yarmouth Resort

"Wow does this place need an update! I know I only paid $80 for the room, but there were lots of holes in the walls, rusty/musty bathroom. Hairs in the sink. No microwave in the room. No toiletries in the room. Strong cheap air freshener smell to the room. Carpet was pretty filthy. Beds were oddly 2 different heights...not a big deal just weird. Old school keys for access. All that said... it's in a prime location. Lady at the front desk was nice. After 10p it was very quiet. The water for showers was nice & hot. Large mini fridge. Room was big & roomy."

"For the price it was decent. The pools look nice and the bedding was clean. There was no body wash in the dispenser and there were dead flys stuck to the walls. The walls were dirty! Also, someone called the room at 8AM and the cleaning staff tried to open the door."

"First I have got to say … they don’t rent to locals because they don’t want to be a drug motel. It’s just easier that way. I’ve been staying at the Yarmouth Resort for the past 4 or 5 years. I’m from Cape Cod but I don’t live on Cape Cod. When I’m in town I have lots of visitors. These people mind their own business and let me visit with my friends and family no questions asked. Although I don’t like the smell of their cleaner I feel it’s a great trade off for the privacy I’m given. Yes the lady at the front does interrupt and make it difficult to speak. But she is doing her best and is actually a very sweet lady if you get past that. They all are lovely. I’ve never had a problem they cannot resolve. They are not taking care of one room, they’re taking care of all the rooms. Be patient. And I will continue to return every year."

"When we booked the room we requested a king size bed and that the room be free of any scents as I am highly allergic. I was guaranteed that my requests would be honored. When we opened the door we were greeted with a blast of mildew fragrance, the bed was a queen size, the ceiling fan didn't work and all the furniture was mismatched. We asked for a 7am wake up call that never came til 8am. When I called the desk to ask about the wake up call the response was"I don't know , I am just coming in the door" We went to the pool and all the tables around the pool were stained with what appeared to be soda and they had crumbs all over them. We had to open both doors in the room to try to eliminate the smell. Upon checking out this morning the desk clerk said to me, "are you checking out" I replied yes, she said "just leave the key there" and turned her back to me. I don't know what has happened new management, new owner? It never was like this before. Remember what you Mother used to tell you.....you get what you pay for!!! I will never stay there again and advise you to stay away."

"I will begin by mentioning it was a pet friendly room and perhaps such rooms are less well kept. Our door from hallway didn't slide smoothly across .the floor and jammed each time it was opened or closed. Our key in from the outside did not work on one of two doors into hotel. Body wash and shampoo dispensers were empty and remained empty despite two requests to have them filled. Outdoor pool was lovely though."
