"My dog loved meeting new, kind, dog friends. The staff was warm, patient and loving. A home away from home. Donna was great giving lots of love. My dogs’ first time in a kennel but he didn’t miss me and happy to see his peers . Lots of attention and a great experience! They even have doggie ice cream. Fun time. He had a great vacation. Thank you for everything."

"UPDATE TO MY REVIEW After more than 7 months with this negative review posted, only after more than 500 people have read it does the owner place a response that says "this is our policy" Please read my original review below and decide for yourself. I have boarded my dogs there with no problem for about 10 years. Today when I went to pick up my dogs expecting to pay for 2 nights I was charged for 3. I was told that 11am starts a new day. I was there at 1pm. I was surprised and disappointed that this business would be so petty. Even prorating the extra 2 hours I could see but no I was charged the full next day rate. When I voiced my displeasure I was told that is our policy. My husband and I own our own business so we are not unfamiliar with what it takes to run a business but we both agreed we would never treat a customer of ours like that. It did not sit well with us as we were returning from a family funeral. We will no longer be using or recommending this business to anyone. Someone so small should not be rewarded for treating return customer's so poorly."

"Such a nice place. Our dog Luna was very happy here. I can't say enough how happy we were with this place. While you can't tour the actual kennels (a common practice at many if not most such places), while standing at the desk, I was able to peek into the kennel area a bit. Each dog appears to have a pretty large and well kept space. Luna also had morning dew on her a few times when we picked her up which made us happy to know that she was getting play time outside. The cost was very reasonable. All of the extras are clearly laid out. Such as additional fees for administering medicine. You can also get your pooch groomed while they are there. We came a few times to pick Luna up and take her to the beach. She was always clean and happy when we would pick her up and when it came time to drop her off, she was actually excited to return. Finally I spoke with to several locals when we walked Luna in the area and I can say that the owners of Lake Farm Kennels are very well known and well regarded in the community."
