About the Business
The Paquachuck Inn, located at 2056 Main Road in Westport, Massachusetts, invites you to experience a historic stay on the coast. Built in 1827 by privateer Issac Cory, this three-story post and beam building once served as a ship chandlery, general store, customs house, and post office. Original artifacts from its maritime past, such as store cabinets and harpoons, can still be found throughout the inn.
Situated on Westport Point, with views of the harbor entrance, fishing fleet, and oyster farm, the Paquachuck Inn offers a glimpse into the town's rich history. The name "Paquachuck" comes from the local clam, the quahog, and reflects the area's Native American heritage.
Just a short drive away are beautiful beaches and a variety of local activities to enjoy. With easy access to kayaking, hiking trails, museums, and cafes, there is something for everyone to explore. The inn sleeps up to 16 guests and features a full kitchen, dining area, and free WiFi.
Relax on the spacious balcony and take in the fresh air and water views, but please note that children must be supervised due to the house's waterfront location. Pets are not allowed, and fires are not permitted. Free parking is available, but furniture rearrangement is not allowed to prevent damage to the floors.
Conveniently located half an hour from Providence, RI, and an hour from Boston, MA, the Paquachuck Inn looks forward to welcoming you for a memorable stay by the sea.

"Delightful Inn. Spacious and comfortable. Located at water's edge. Providing a bucolic relaxing New England experience."
"If you mistakenly wander in thinking it's a bar but it turns out it's cribbage night, you'll be passive-aggressively asked if you're lost, which is the yankee equivalent to 'bless your heart.' I hope to play cribbage there one day."
"Great place with lots of history. Great breakfast. On the water beautiful place. Has a dock as well. Westport is a beautiful area. Close to Horseneck beach."
"The owner is CRAZY. My husband worked one summer (in 2017) at a newly opened lobster shack next door to this place. This lady was constantly harassing and threatening the workers and heckling customers without provocation. Awful woman."
"Worst experience I've ever had at any hotel B&B Inn etc. Brenda (the innkeeper) was very rude on the phone, at check in and throughout the duration of the stay. She was no where to be found during the hours leading up to the event that was taking place at the inn to answer questions or offer assistance. The inn was dirty the sheets and towels were disgusting. My group and I witnessed a breakfast dish out on the kitchen counter the day that we checked in (which by the way consisted of her yelling at us when we walked in a telling us to just find a room upstairs) that was infested with fruit flies and then had her serve that exact same dish the next morning at breakfast along with moldy fruit that lay uncovered inside the bar fridge. Brenda was also in a very loud verbal argument on her cell phone in one of the main areas of the Inn while my group and I were trying to enjoy a wedding rehearsal party, very unprofessional. Brenda never informed the group of any check in check out procedures or tried to make us comfortable, rather she barged into a private party a few houses down and started harassing guests for credit cards before they even checked out. This is an Inn I wouldn't even recommend to my worst enemy. The 20 min drive down the point to stay at a different hotel is very much worth it!"
