Town and Tide Inn

"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Town and Tide. The property is absolutely beautiful offering outdoor seating areas, cable in every room, stand up showers and central A/C. Every day breakfast was prepared and it was some of the best food I had while in Rhode Island. The staff was extremely friendly, attentive, and ready to help. I hope to visit again soon! I highly recommend."

"This bed and breakfast is an absolute must stay in Newport. It's adorable, clean, and cozy. Walking distance to the beach and the bars, but far enough that you can sleep soundly. Serena, the inn keeper is the sweetest person you'll ever meet. She truly cares about the guests. The homemade breakfast is delicious. I recommend anyone to stay here, and I look forward to coming back."

"Perfect place to fill your belly, lay your head and leave your car in Newport. The breakfast is beyond simple fare. Our first meal was English muffin, asparagus, prosciutto and egg, second was amazing French toast. Our room was spacious and meticulous (#8). It was in the second building behind the main one off of Memorial. The parking though tight was just right to leave and walk. Everything we wanted to visit was within 15 mins walk, but we certainly got our steps in throughout the day. Shawna and Serena both took very good care of us!"

"Everything about our experience was incredibly positive! We were contacted before our arrival about an early check-in time, and we were only too happy to take advantage of that. We were also asked if we had any dietary restrictions or preferences before we arrived- a nice touch. Serena greeted us, and she is a consummate professional! She is warm, kind, and helpful. She remembered me by name during our stay. Every interaction we had with her was happy and memorable. In addition, the room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely delicious on both days. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Newport in the future."

"Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a place to stay in Newport. The Inn is only about a 5 minute walk to the Cliff Walk and a beach and maybe a 15 minute walk to the wharfs. Serena, the innkeeper, and all the ladies that work there are fantastic! They were super nice and breakfast every morning was delicious. We stayed in room 2 and it was spotless. My only con is that there is no separate thermostat for the rooms in the main house (rooms 1-6 I think) and the rooms don’t have ceiling fans. Our room was a bit warm for our liking (menopause is not fun!). We found a small fan at a hardware shop in Jamestown and it was perfect. If we ever come back to Newport, we would absolutely stay here again. Serena recommended Jo’s American Dining on our first day and it was excellent. I would also recommend Giusto. 5/5 stars for both restaurants. Stay away from The Grill at 41North. It wasn’t good at all and overpriced."
