I called him last minute for some fish water and he waited as late as 9 o clock. If I had questions or needed something for my tank he’s was always right there to help. "I called The Aquarium Gallery at 7:30pm on a week night when all of the other aquatics stores were closed. I spoke to a very nice guy, William, he helped me save my fish! I had acquired a fish tank filled with African Cichlids. I had done a water change because the fish were acting sluggish, starting to look pale and swimming at the surface. After the water change the fish started to look even worse. I thought they were all going to die! William suggested I make sure to have a lot of water movement at the surface of the tank, turn the light off in the tank and he also suggested using aquarium salts to help out my fish that seemed oxygen deprived. My nitrate levels were high and there was a small amount of ammonia detected in the water (after the water change), other than that, everything else seemed fine. Apparently, fish benefit from sodium chloride because it helps them absorb the oxygen in the water. Once I added a bubbler, redirected my other bubbler to the surface, turned the light off and added some aquarium salts, the next day the fish started to look and behave better!
