"This store is a great resource for many local people as well as those who pass through our town from surrounding areas and States for we boarder both NY, and MA. The store is clean ,friendly and organized far more the others that I have been in . It's a little congested right now with all the new adjustments and expansion in inventory, but I'm confident they will get it into shape . The only complaint I have is that I wish the merchandise was not from China but rather from our country where jobs are needed as well as business to keep our Nation growing . We give other countries to much of the business, And not enough to our own country that is struggling to stay afloat."
"Dollar general is a great place for single mothers like myself they have a dollar aisle where I can buy gain and Tide laundry detergent I can buy Dawn dish soap I can buy garbage bags all name brand all for $1 I also find cute outfits for my six-year-old daughter along with many toys that are in my price range very happy to have Dollar generals in my town"
"A great addition to the town of Pownal. Has just about everything you need at good prices. Before this came to town we would have to drive a half hour to another big store. They sell beer and wine along with cigarettes."
