"This is a very unique guest house that was originally a hat shop in town, but has a vintage feel and a one-of-a-kind interior that is spiced up with industrial details. When I think of a guest house, I have an image of something very casual, but I think it's a place where you can stay in a luxurious way, with a casual feel that isn't formal. This time I stayed at Top Hat, and it was impressive to see the vintage American refrigerators and stoves that I had only seen in movies and photos actually working. Although this is not the room we stayed in, there are plenty of features that appeal to antique lovers, such as the claw-footed bathtub that was in another room, even if you are not. It's fun to see the names of the hats in each room, and the antique hats and wooden molds placed casually, but the paintings and photos of the two owners, who are artists, are displayed throughout the room. This is what makes this guesthouse so nice. The ceiling is high and open, so I think it's suitable for a relaxing stay in the room. Since it is not a hotel, there are no services such as room service or restaurants, but there is nothing inconvenient as there is everything you can find just outside the hotel. It's in a great location facing Warren Street, Hudson's main street, so it's within walking distance of restaurants, cafes, and galleries in town, and it's about a 15-minute walk from Hudson Station. I stayed in a room with a kitchen, but I only made my morning coffee and mostly ate outside. The restaurants recommended by the owners were all very delicious. One of the owners, Charlotta, has lived in Japan, and the other, Shannon, has also studied Jiu-Jitsu, so they are all Japan-friendly. They also kindly gave us recommendations for restaurants, shops, hiking trails, etc. I will definitely stay here again when I go to Hudson. I highly recommend it to everyone."
"Awesome..cool space!"
"This is such a lovely escape from the city. We were able to cook delicious meals in the kitchen and sleep restfully in their well designed Fedora room. Everything was so clean and comfortable. The hosts are so lovely and attentive. Their recommendations for downtown were also so good—exactly what we were hoping to experience on our getaway. I highly recommend The Milliner and look forward to come back again to stay in their other rooms."
"After staying at the Milliner for the weekend, I wish I could move in and call it home. It is ideally located midway up Warren and being able to pop in and out with ease made our weekend all the more enjoyable. Our room, the Bowler, was spacious and comfortable. We loved the vintage furniture, fixtures and hardware, and there was no compromise on quality - the water pressure will knock you over. Charlotta pointed us away from the well beaten NY Times checklist and towards all the best spots. It rained the first night and the patter on the roof was heaven. Stay here. You won't be disappointed."
"A dream come true!"
