"Dr Leiter is incredible. As the owner of a tutoring company, her practice is who we refer our clients to for anything anxiety related! Her team is brilliant, dedicated, passionate and take a nurturing approach all while assessing the underlying issue with a strong treatment plan. Cannot recommend this practice enough!"
"Dr. Inna Leiter is an extraordinary therapist at the Center for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Her combination of expertise and genuine compassion creates a therapeutic experience that is both impactful and empowering. I consider myself incredibly lucky to know her and highly recommend her to anyone in search of a dedicated and supportive therapist!"
"I had the pleasure of attending graduate school with Dr. Leiter, and have been fortunate to collaborate and consult with her over the years. She is a talented psychologist, who uses an evidence-based approach, and cares deeply about the clients and families she is working with. It has been impressive to see the practice Dr. Leiter has built, and the impact The Center for CBT has made in clients lives. The Center for CBT is a true support to the community they serve!"
"I’ve thought about whether to leave this feedback publicly for over a month, and have decided to do so for anyone who it might help, including the practitioners themselves. Unfortunately I did not have an overall positive experience. In my (of course limited and personal) experience, over the course of 3-4 months and around 4 or so virtual sessions, Dr. Wong lacked compassion and empathy toward the complexities I was facing, especially when issues had to do with personal privilege being involved. She also did not have the confidence or leadership I was looking for in my sessions. I never left feeling more grounded or clear on much. This dramatically worsened in our last appointment, where I frankly have never been so misjudged, and I’ve never left a therapy session feeling worse than my last session, where she made things extremely uncomfortable for me just as I was starting to open up. I don’t feel comfortable sharing everything publicly, but will share some. I especially didn’t appreciate the expectation that I sensed by the end of our sessions she had: that I would spend time in my sessions catching her up on every detail between my last and current session, or else risk her assuming I had dropped the ball on something I didn’t mention, after I had explicitly told her many times that I needed to budget and would only be able to see her once a month after the first few sessions. She also never seemed to ask questions to get to know me or for clarification. For example, when I didn’t update her on my health/fertility journey, she accused me of talking about my future goals and dreams as a way of avoiding dealing with my current health, even though I have been very on top of my health goals. She didn’t even ask for updates before jumping to that statement. She also reacted incredibly strangely to any stressors or goals/dreams I brought up that had to do with finances, invalidating many feelings around this topic that I had worked very hard to open up about. I was shocked by many of her uncomfortable, cold and confusing reactions, that felt more like inexperienced reactions versus warm and encouraging responses. I’ve had positive experiences seeing previous therapists for long stretches of time and had many positive results and have never experienced such a disappointing situation, especially for the price per appointment. For $200 and an hour of my time, I honestly felt very underwhelmed and felt repeatedly shamed for my anxieties that were more than several times belittled by Dr. Wong in a way that was frankly shockingly presumptuous, hurtful, and unproductive. I also can’t help but wonder if some of this issue in my case is that Dr. Wong is quite young, and I’ve never had a therapist younger than myself (I believe I am at least 8 years older, though she referred to us as the same age which was strange as we are in different stages of life as well). She frankly even seemed judgmental of me centering myself in my own life and sessions, when for example, I tried to share that my husband and I had paid off some of our debt and were hopeful by that, she was weirdly shaming and invalidating, saying that we’re doing better than other people, and that it shouldn’t be a big deal because other people have it worse. I’m sure Dr. Wong has helped many people, but I honestly wouldn’t currently recommend her services to my peers, especially if looking for someone who makes it comfortable to open up and be a partner in their mental health journey. Perhaps the experience is different in person or if you’ve already had a lot of experience with CBT therapy specifically, but for me it started off neutral and progressed to counterproductive and damaging. In fact this experience gave me a newfound appreciation for my previous therapist who was much easier to talk to. Anyways, none of this is said with any vitriol, and although she was a bad fit for me, I know that Dr. Wong is a good person trying her best, and I hope she can take my feedback in stride and continue to improve."
"The Center for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, directed by Dr Inna Leiter, is a great resource for families and children. They are responsive to patient’ needs, have well trained psychologists, and have a wealth of experience in effective treatment methods for a range of childhood and adolescent psychological disorders. They are wonderful colleagues and a go-to resource for our practice. Dr Leiter is also lovely."
