"Getting medical care should not be difficult. Find another eyecare provider. On my second visit: 1) 0800 appt but had me wait outside so they could count the till money. 2) Asked for me to fill out paperwork but I had already filled out online. 3) Asked for my medical info since it was a new calendar year. Atypical, since most ask if any change to your medical insurance. 4) I got an email to confirm the appt which I did. I then got a voicemail that said if I didn't confirm via phone, the system would auto-cancel my appt. Other info: My wife got glasses from them in 2023. There were many consecutive delays and then when provided were not correct. Finally, my doctor there departed. I'm speculating as to why. I'm going elsewhere. Just looked at the reviews in the last few months. Negative trend identified and confirmed."
"My family has been coming to Dr. Ozer since we moved to this area 6 years ago. I've had little luck finding good dentists and doctors but counted myself lucky that j found a good optometrist that was knowledgeable, thorough and cared. I don't fault him for getting the retirement money by selling the practice, but will not be going here again. This place is now run on principles of maximizing profit at all cost, that means hiring lowest cost staff, fast as possible service, selling you stuff you don't need, and attitudes that comes with underpaid and overworked staff with high staff turnover."
"I have been a patient of Dr Ozer for 35 years. I had a pleasant experience until the end which will result in my family leaving the practice. Trying to keep costs down just before Christmas, I asked about the drops rather than the machine (which insurance does not cover). If I didn’t ask, I would have been automatically given the test on the machine. Red flag #1. Doctor was pleasant, did a thorough eye exam. Asked if contact brand I have been wearing for years was ok, I said yes. My sc changed just a bit. Was given contacts to “try”. Hence same brand, different strength. She looked in my eyes and sent me on my way. I sat down out front and Will started to explain my charges. I was shocked the contact charge for a fitting was $145. Sorry for what? Same bran diameter. . No one said there was a charge. I would have declined. I was not given an option. Just told to try them on. I could even get past that until I was treated in the most unprofessional and condescending way by Will. I did speak to the OM and told him he had a very ignorant person working for him. So sad Dr Ozer"
"Update. We were told on Friday the glasses would be done end of day. Went to pick them up on Wednesday and the frames are still at the office. Not complete. Nothing has been done They were NEVER sent out. We are still being told the lenses need "shaved down" but they needed the frames. This is so unacceptable. Is it possible to leave a negative star review? He has now been in the wrong prescription, frames still at the Dr's office, no correct lenses, AFTER being told they would be done. Why did they need his glasses for this if they are still sitting there. Run.Do not use this office. Run. We have been patients for years. Paid almost 1100 dollars for two pair of glasses this year and it's been a very bad experience My husband's glasses took 3 weeks to come in when we were told 2 weeks. Got a call they were in. They were not. When questioned, were told that they were on back order. They had not notified us of that. His lenses scratched 2 days after he picked them up. After questioning and basically blaming him, they ordered new lenses. When he went to get them, the replacement lenses did not fit in the frames. (Was that the reason they were delayed?) This time they asked for his glasses, so he's now got to wear the wrong prescription for 2 weeks. This eye dr was a wonderful office until they switched to my eyedr. We are planning to switch to another eye dr for next year"
"I had a very poor experience at the Ogden location. I needed a minor adjustment to my new glasses. When I called to schedule an appointment I was told I didn’t need one and to just come in. When I arrived, the receptionist initially ignored me though I was standing directly in front of her. She then instructed me to sign in, which I did. After waiting over an hour I approached her again about the delay. Again, standing directly in front of her, she ignored me and continued a conversation with her co-workers who also failed to stop the conversation. When she finally acknowledged me she said they probably weren’t checking the sign-in sheet. Rather than be a “Karen” during my visit, I will be sure to share my negative opinion with all of friends, family, acquaintances, and strangers. P.S. Will was everything the receptionist was not. He is friendly, attentive, and quick."
