"Horrible horrible horrible to say the last! The staff in the ER lobby all need to be fired especially the security guard Curtis jones! To have the never to tell me to go to another hospital when I asked him how long the waits going to be for my sick & throwing up girlfriend that just keep getting worse & this was after we have already been sitting there patiently waiting for over an hour! This place is trash I wouldn’t bring anyone here EVER! Unbelievable!!!!!"

"This hospital is absolutely awful. I took my oldest son here and they horribly misdiagnosed him, due to not really wanting to do the tests that he needed. I ended up having to drive him to Thomas Jefferson Univ.Hosp, who diagnosed him in half the time it took Pottstown to screw up. They only care about money, not patients. I took my other son there and again they did not want to do the tests that his PCP recommended they do, even though the PCP was on the phone while I was in the hospital. We were there eight hours and they did nothing. Do yourselves a favor and drive the extra miles to a better hospital, if you care about your health at all"

"Awful hospital. Had to wait over 3 hours in the emergency room with my grandmother. After we were told we were next in line to get a room, someone else that had come in well after us was taken back. I remarked we were leaving, and the security guard got snarky, "you're going to wait just as long anywhere else." Sorry, but he is not a medical doctor, he does not get a say in how we handle our health situation. This was highly unprofessional, and the attitude was not needed. I had been polite in saying we were leaving, they could take us off the list. The security officer had no business or right to be rude because we were going elsewhere for our emergency. (WHICH BY THE WAY WAS A GENUINE EMERGENCY, AND MY GRANDMOTHER HAD TO BE ADMITTED AT ANOTHER FACILITY IMMEDIATELY FOR BLOOD TRANSFUSION.) An edit two months later — this hospital is the closest thing to Hell. Had to bring my dad in for severe issues breathing, and when I reported to the receptionist that his breathing had worsened, she was outstandingly rude and unhelpful. Also, no rooms? Does this place EVER have rooms available unless you’re being brought in via ambulance? This place is absolutely worse. If I were bleeding out on the sidewalk in front of this place, I wouldn’t count on them to help."

"You know how the ER asks you to rate your pain on a scale of 1-10? I was in enough pain to go to Pottstown hospital. Here's the deal- you want low ER wait times? You can't be going to the ER because you have the flu or a hangnail. That being said I feel like these guys are under-staffed. That's unfortunate but the people I dealt with here were pretty good at what they were doing, you could tell they were spread too thin. Guys, keep up the good work and hopefully help is on the way."

"I am currently sitting in the ER lobby. I have been here for over two hours with two separate issues going on and have not been acknowledged once since being triaged. The woman working in triage (taking my info, not the kind lady who did my EKG) was rude and unprofessional. While sitting in the lobby I actually heard another family leave immediately after being triaged citing that the same woman was rude and unprofessional. I came to here to check the reviews and I am definitely not surprised to find so many recent once star reviews and complaints about the care received or lack thereof. At this rate I will be here all night, haven’t even been seen and it definitely isn’t busy. The American Health care system is pathetic. To whoever handles the Google listing, please don’t reply with a blanket statement about how much you care, and DEFINITELY don’t ask ME to reach out to a patient care rep. Update: an elderly woman in a wheel chair who has also been sitting here a long time has just asked for somewhere to lie down. She was told no and then she asked for a stretcher to lay on and was again told no with no further attempt to help or accommodate. This is pathetic. I originally gave this joint one star, but came back to edit it because even though I had MULTIPLE encounters that were super unprofessional I also ended up being helped by a team of wonderful nurses and an excellent doctor. Sue in particular is a fabulous nurse. I definitely think there are some staff that could use a brush up when it comes to professional and manners. Also… empathy (for example the poor woman who needed to lie down)."
