"**I ended up giving the lowest rating on here after seeing that the school BLOCKED me after leaving my below review on their Facebook page rather than acknowledging it in any way, or apologizing for the experience. This level of immaturity, coming from a SCHOOL at that, when handling constructive criticism speaks volumes** I've been disappointed more than once with my experience with the clay college. I was previously told that if I were taking classes there (credit or non credit), I could purchase clay and slip there. the first time was fine, the second time I was told they would have to order more but I wouldn't need to pay in advance..I followed up 3 weeks in a row, and each time they acted like it was my first time requesting this clay. I was finally approached by someone that works there that got a bit of an attitude with me saying I couldn't buy any clay, they don't have any extra and it's only enough for the Classes. so the information provided to me each time I was there was different and inconsistent. Then I was disappointed that several of my pieces that I made during the classes had grown legs and walked off, and rather than staff have any empathy that these items all disappeared in a span of 1 week, I was pretty much scolded for not putting my name on all of my pieces despite me explaining that I take photos of everything I make and other students should know what they did and didn't create. It was just really disheartening. The instructors (for both the one day workshops as well as 8 week classes) and students are all very nice, my only suggestion would be to post photos of examples of one day workshop pieces, and have staff communicate better amongst eachother so were provided accurate and consistent information. Its a moot point for me personally, however as I won't be signing up for future classes or workshops - it's not worth the risk that more of my pieces may go missing when I spent the time and money on creating them and driving a half hour each way."
"Great times. Two hour class on clay wheel throwing. Made three pieces in that time. Instructors made it easy and fun."
