"Today, the day before my biopsy a man called saying he wasn’t going to do my biopsy because he thinks I’m too young. I had a mri done in august and they recommended a biopsy. I have a strong family history of breast cancer that starts in the early 40s. Pre menopausal breast cancer runs rapid in my family. I have had mammograms since I was 35. The last one in June showed growths and they sent me to ultrasound who sent me to mri, who sent me for this biopsy, I told the man I needed to have this done and wanted to proceed with what my doctor wants not him. He got mad at me and told me he runs the show there and he’s not doing it and that three techs at the hospital in Baltimore quit so good luck trying to get it done in Baltimore, he refused to give me his name and told me not to show up for my appointment tomorrow because he’s not doing it and hung up on me. I have never been treated so badly by someone in the medical field. This is unacceptable."
"i have gotten labwork done here many times in the last few years. never had a bad experience with any of the scheduling people or the techs. judging from the negative reviews here, they must have some really rough days dealing with the public and the electronic systems and i have never run into a rude or unprofessional emplyee there"
"Horrible experience. I was given 2 referrals to get ultrasound of both breasts by my primary DR. Scheduled with Clark Breast Center inside of UM Diagnostic & Imaging. Front desk asked me to sit & wait while they checked in another patient. Then skipped over me to check in others. I finally go back and change to what I think is the Ultrasound, and I am taken to mammogram, where I states this is not what I was scheduled for. The nurse looked at me as if I was crazy and asked me why not. I told her I was not scheduled for mammogram as I had pain and felt a lump so my DR scheduled ultrasound. The nurse left the room and came back with a man who stated he was the DR for mammograms & they will not do an ultrasound without mammogram even if I have pain or assume I have a lump, then require a mammogram 1st. I told them I was self-pay and I requested an ultrasound along with referral from my DR and he replies I am sorry we can't help you, that's not how we do things. I then asked why I was scheduled and not told this in the beginning when I drove 45 mins for an appointment where I am denied a service I will pay for out of pocket, his simple reply was "I don't know, maybe the folks next door can help you". I am not only shocked that if my DR provided referrals and this is specifically their expertise and dept, that I am denied a service I pay for myself, and even though I have pain and discomfort they still denied me a service. I will be reporting this place to the State Medical Board."
"Why am I able to schedule an appointment for testing here approved through my insurance and not be seen? Having a serious medical concern and to be met with unprofessional banter. There was zero lack of sympathy from staff today. The usual “you’re young and don’t need this test” is NOT an appropriate answer. Medical professionals need to realize they’re dealing with traumatic moments in a patient’s life and not put the daily 9-5 attitude on their faces when addressing clients. I drove an hour and a half one way to find the soonest available appointment. I will never be recommending this facility for any of my friends and colleagues over the bridge."
"This place is a mess. I made an appointment for a Breast MRI three weeks ago and took time off of work. The day before the appointment they called me to say I had to be within a certain phase of my menstrual cycle - they just conveniently remembered! Of course they have no open slots for the next week, so I have to wait for next month. Those with a history of cancer in their family know how important time is. The representative on the phone could not even do simple math - she kept suggesting a day that was obviously not within the right phase. If I had not double checked and trusted her to know what the hell she was doing, I would have totally gone into it and received radiation for no reason. I wish I could avoid this place but I can't."
