"My family and I stayed At the gecko island cottage and everything was great! Super clean and provided everything we needed for beach vacation. Parking and the pool are so close to the cottage which was a huge perk with young kids! The house itself was a great place to stay. The kitchen was spacious, bathroom was clean, and the 2 bedrooms were the perfect size, and the living room space was great as well. I would definitely recommend the gecko island cottage to anyone of my friends who plan on going to OCMD."

"I recently stayed at Gecko Island #24 and I would highly recommend this unit! Everything was clean and in perfect working condition. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you'd need to cook, much more so than at many other places I've stayed. The bedrooms were spacious, bigger than I expected from the pictures... we had 4 adults and 3 kids at one point and we felt it was ample room. The pull out couch was easy to use and big enough for my 6 ft teenage brother to sleep comfortable in. You can tell the place had been recently updated... Modern flat screen tv's, new fridge, fresh paint, etc. It was very pleasant. I loved having two different porches, it offers a lot of privacy and charm. Its worth noting the bathroom was impressively clean. The shower pressure was great and strong enough to wash off all our extra sand easily, which has been a problem in other places I have stayed. As far as the location, we loved it. It is a very short walk (2 blocks maybe) to the beach. We took our two and three year old kids and didn't even need a stroller. The house had its own private parking space so there was no need to look for street parking. There was also a convenience store about a minute away that we visited multiple times a day for things we forgot. At night they have security guards that pass by very frequently, we had no issues with noise and felt very safe. Had no issues with the wifi, the password was provided at check-in and we used it on multiple devices. I am very surprised at some of the other reviews I am seeing on here... I know they manage a lot of different properties for individual owners and that might have something to do with it, but my experience was not like that at all. Nothing was ripped or dirty, there were no flies or broken blinds, the agency met my expectations. If I had seen them earlier, I would have taken a lot more pictures so you could see for yourself! If you're looking to stay in this area, Gecko Island #24 will not disappoint."

"We were very disappointed in our experience with OC beach getaways management. We stayed at key lime #7 in the parrot bay condos and the place did not look like the pics on website. The couch and chair were old, ripped, and filthy (the ones in pic were completely different and clean!) The floor was hardwood and dirty and dusty and sticky. You can tell they simply ripped up the carpets that were down and never bothered to finish the work on the floor. Windows and Blinds were filthy ripped, and missing pieces. The entire place needed a good cleaning. Some of the kitchen appliances/supplies listed on site that were required were missing. We didn't even have a trashcan! The appliance closet outside our unit smelled foul and the trashcans were filled to the brim so we couldn't use them. The air conditioners, fridge, and all appliances were in working order, except the leaking seal from the toilet that had to get flxed. The bathroom was updated but not cleaned well (but cleaner than the rest of unit). With all that being said the location was great! It was downtown, 3 blocks from beach and boardwalk, 1 block from bay and fishing pier, close to everything, pet friendly,and had a small clean pool. Ive stayed alot of affordable places in the past but ALL have been CLEAN and in working order! This place was very disappointing. "I stayed here for a week with a group of 8 other college students this May. Upon arrival, everything seemed fine until we went to fill our fridge, finding vomit in the plastic drawers. We were told that they had cleaned the apartment so apparently we were either lying or delusional. Not wanting to let this ruin our week, we cleaned the whole fridge ourselves, and moved on. After checkout, we were contacted telling us that we had stolen all of the mattress covers and would therefore not be returning our security deposit. Despite the fact that mattress covers could be purchased for less than half the cost of our security deposit, none of the mattresses had any covers to begin with. They were all bare and we were told in our lease to provide our own sheets. When we contested, they told us to "provide proof" that there were no mattress covers and continued to refuse to give our money back. Apart from the scam that they are obviously running, they only gave out 2 keys even though they advertised 8 spots available in the unit. The wifi connection is horrible and the shower pressure is almost unusable. I highly recommend anyone else to find somewhere else to stay for your vacation. There are plenty of other nicer and less scammy places to be found in Ocean City."

"DO NOT STAY HERE! The place was absolutely disgusting. We had to break out the gloves and lysol before we even unpacked. Flies for days..you could see the remainders of ones that had been squished on the wall before we even got there. The bathroom was filled with mold and the shower did not drain. Had to turn off the water in between rinsing to avoid overflowing. Even had maintenance come in to fix it but it did not help. All the shelves in the fridge were broken or missing. There was a leak somewhere in the kitchen sink so water pooled on the counter. We called maintenance on this issue and they said they were aware but are waiting for the homeowners to respond. Clearly the owners do not care about the property and just want the money. Place reeked of smoke even though smoking was not allowed. There are no grills as stated by the community either. Its been almost a month and I have yet to receive my deposit back. Yes, its close to the boardwalk, but don't waste your money. Spend a little bit more for a reputable hotel so your trip is enjoyable."
