"If this school is your only option then go for it, because you do get a certificate when you graduate. But if possible I would highly recommend trying to apply to another school. I attended the Dental Hygiene program and I graduated feeling very unprepared. Starting off we had very limited supplies or we were missing crucial equipment. The EFDA program was also limited or missing supplies as well so they would borrow from the Hygiene program, meaning we were even more limited. The instructors were not up to date on the materials being taught and were simply reading off PowerPoints, not truly educating or helping the students process the information. We would receive disruptive emails in the middle of the night calling us disappointments if many of us got information wrong on the quizzes, which we got the information wrong because we were not taught said information. The staff here is very rude and care more about gossip than actually helping the students here. I’ve had many issues with paperwork for loans, financial aid, as well as my transcripts not being processed correctly. And when I went to address the issues I was told it was all my fault, even though I did everything I was supposed to do as well as confirm many times if everything was done which I was told they were but then later I was told they were never done. I do not know how the staff is now but from what I hear the school is still not great and the staff are just as rude to the students as well as the patients that come for cleanings. There is no support here as a student. You have to teach yourself which at that point why pay so much in tuition?"
"Updated below- And I really think the good reviews are paid. I have never heard any good reviews from people who actually went to the school. I recently reapplied to CCP after returning from military training. Sadly they gave me the run around and did not hold my seat in program, unfortunately law does not apply to national guard members in training. Anyways I didnt apply to other programs because i expected to get my seat back at CCP. Now Allstate is the only school still accepting apps for next fall, at first i was hesitant to apply because of their reputation but i decide to get them a try anyways. While on zoom, the host was rude. She had an attitude and was annoyed anytime someone questioned her. The tuition is extremely expensive and theyre picky about selecting credits if you already have a degree. I personally dont think it’s worth the headache. The staff are ghetto and unprofessional. To collect all this money while being disrespectful is a shame. Good luck to anyone who makes it through i personally rather wait until applications open up at other schools next year. I think this school is only good for HVAC and med assistance. Everything else …. reputation is always bed- update next OK so it’s been about three years since the program originally opened up and a year since I left my first review. So here’s an update I wanted to leave a honest and unbiased review. Again after my first encounter during the zoom session, I continued to do my research and interview others who have went through their hygiene program. Yes, it is expensive and apparently the school is extremely unorganized and you’re practically teaching yourself despite the headache former students still recommend the program so I decided to follow up, and apparently the admission counselor who did the zoom video has since been fired(so they say but I still see her photo on website) Overall, I think the school has a long way to go. It’s ironic because their sister School fortis Institute in Scranton PA has such a great reputation and does extremely well I’m not sure what the disconnect is and why the school is ran so poorly. If you’re able to bypass the hectic admissions process and enter the hygiene program, you should be able to push through just think about the bigger picture."
"DO NOT GO HERE!!!! At least not the EFDA program. This school is very unprofessional and haven’t been able to do their jobs since day 1. Some of teachers were late almost everyday. Some teachers themselves were rude and formed a clique almost. In the very beginning I sat in my classroom basically doing nothing. Then, towards the end of the year we were told we were going to actually be going into the lab more to do hands on practice, so I was excited. That was a lie. They didn’t even have a schedule so other classes would be in there having us not be able to go in there as much as we should’ve been. There was so many things I can’t even speak about, and the classroom environment was hectic, sloppy, and unplanned everyday. There almost a fight that broke out in the middle of the hallway when we’re all supposed to be grown adults, and the stories that I have heard from former graduates are even more horrifying. Whether they are true or not are irrelevant because I’m just saying my piece. Graduating has been the most difficult task of them all. They lost my check to take my first exam, and now they’re giving me a random outstanding balance after I’ve already payed them in full. Then they misspelled my last name on my diploma. In my opinion, I already overpayed."
"Do not go here. This school is very unprofessional! The curriculum is rushed and unrealistic. They did a terrible job explaining what you are walking into . Plz do not waste your money . Go to a two year program that will take their time to teach you. I literally made multiple complaints . Not worth it! Almost nothing was explained in the time of enrollment. This is MY money that the school is collecting. I should at least have a good educational experience. I am so upset , I was very excited to attend just to be let down in this manner . The courses are rushed, making it hard to actually hold anything information. In my experience anyway . As to why I did not read the reviews beforehand was my mistake, reading the other reviews now and seeing I am not the only person to feel this way should speak volumes. I am only giving the school 1 star because that is the lowest option . 0 stars in reality for me"
"Everything/Everyone was great up until I had my interview with the Dean of nursing. I could accept being denied if the reasons weren’t because I work and OTHER PPL that have had jobs and enrolled didn’t commit. Also, I’ve worked in healthcare care for 6years and was told by the dean that me being certified to give medication was “Not ideal”. I’d like to mention I work for a nationally recognized company, have several healthcare related certifications, and am already familiar with some terminology. I don’t feel as though I missed out. I’d rather a school that’s encouraging not condescending. Will be going for my RN degree instead. Thank you to everyone else in the enrollment process."
