"Good French onion soup and excellent service. The steak frites & tart flambe just decent. The duck cassoulet was very disappointing. "Cassoulet" by definition is meat cooked with beans together in casserole or an eathernware "cassole". This simple comfort food (if done correctly) is one of the emblematic French gifts to gastronomy. I was surprised to find the beans frigid and the single duck confit leg & sausage luke warm at best. The dish lacked seasoning and tasted bland. If salt and pepper shakers are not on the table then the food should be properly seasoned as a rule. For $38 it should also be plentiful. Audubon NJ is not Paris after all... Perhaps I'm most disappointed in the fact that June BYOB (sister restaurant) is so exceptional in every way. Manned by the best young chef/owner in the area with great attention to detail in food, service and decor. June BYOB is much more expensive but also a tremendous value. Unfortunately Cafe le Jardin does not give the same value perception for the prices charged. The dining room is cold figuratively and literally."

"For our brunch my wife ordered the Croque Madame, and I chose the Bouillabaisse 3-egg omelet. Desserts were the Chocolate Croissant and the stuffed cookie. Everything was splendid and lived up to the hype we'd been hearing about the restaurant. Service was prompt and excellent, and the interior, although noisy, was tastefully designed. All-in-all, a first-rate meal."

"Wife & I were looking for a date night without the kids & we were looking for something special. We don't typically eat French food and often we stick to what we know with the ~1,000 or so Italian restaurants around us. We are so glad we went here for dinner because wow, it was so delicious and one of the best dinners we've ever had. Wife got the French Onion Soup and hands down the best French onion soup she has ever eaten and already planning a return trip to have it again. The mussels were perfect and the perfect starter. Wife got Steak Frites & I got Beef Bourguignon for dinner and it was wonderful all around, didn't even get a chance to take a picture before we started eating. Desserts were fantastic and hit the spot even though we were both very full. For a special night out, this was a perfect evening out. Def give it a try, you will not regret it."

Hold onto your taste buds, folks, because this was no ordinary meal. Our culinary journey began with a shared plate of Moules-Frites—a.k.a. mussels in garlic butter sauce with a sidekick of golden French fries. If only we could have bathed in that garlic butter, but let's not get carried away (or judged by the neighboring tables). Our 3-course adventure continued with a synchronized order of French onion soup, Hachis-Parmentier (fancy lingo for Beef Shepherd's Pie), and a finale fit for royalty—the Vanilla Cremeaux, aka a vanilla/orange creme brulee. Picture a party in your mouth, and then imagine that party being headlined by the most fabulous flavor orchestra. Spoiler alert: It was that good. I must confess; I had a momentary desire to smuggle two loaves of their divine bread home. Alas, my conscience and the watchful eyes of the waitstaff prevailed. "Had a wonderful time at Cafe le Jardin. We sat in their outdoor patio area with our dog after a walk. The atmosphere was nice; it felt sophisticated and but still family friendly, and not overpriced. The staff was extremely friendly and even gave some food and water to our dog. The coffee and brunch entrees were delicious, I can personally recommend the artichoke sandwich and french fries. We will be back to try more things they offer like BYOB and more French cuisine."
