"My experience with Newark Bike Project was entirely positive. I called them earlier last year when they were in the middle of moving to get advice on a used bike I was looking at buying from marketplace. The owner Dave went above and beyond to give me advice on what to look for and was very knowledgeable and kind. Lucky for me his advice helped me avoid purchasing a bike in not great condition. It’s not often businesses will go out of their way to help even when it’s not making them money. Thanks for being one of the good ones NBP!"
"I can not say enough good things about NBP. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Literally will fix your bike and take time to explain/teach you the problem and how to fix it. Mike, Josh and entire staff will never lose my business!"
"I've bought a few used bikes from here, and I've taken bikes here to be worked on several times. These guys do a great job, and it's affordable ($10/hr, at time of review) and a way to learn. Make sure you ask them questions about what they're doing, and they will really teach you how to care for your bike. The mechanics are solid; I've had really good experiences with Josh and another guy, whose name I can't recall (bigger, bearded dude, musician, and a big fan of 80's movies). Be sure to tip them."
"The best service center one could ever find, I came in one day to take appointment and the person over there said I would be charged $12 and on the day of appointment there was other person who helped me in fixing the bike, he estimated it to $17 and when I asked that the initial person had given a quote of $12 he immediately reduced it $12 without any hesitation. The person who helped me was so good and talented in his work, he had done the rework with utmost patience. Huge respect to Newark bike project"
"The volunteer staff at Newark Bike Project was able to get me back up and running quickly when I came in with a bent wheel. It was too damaged to repair, and the found a nicely priced replacement set and swapped out the cassette in no time. Highly recommended. Bike rides better than before with the new wheels."
