Beach Liquors

"Really nice, spacious liqour store. Staff was also helpful and friendly. The four stars is because I felt the Chardonnay selection wasn't great as far as California wines and the prices overall were quite high. I am unsure if that is due to the area (i.e., if there aren't many stores in the Bethany Beach area) as I drove in from Lewes, but I can buy a bottle of Captain Morgan in Lewes for five dollars less. Not saying I wouldn't go back there but if it was a large buy, I'd trek it to Lewes."

"While on vacation, we stopped by beach liquors. I browsed and selected two eight packs of High Noons and was browsing the aisles when I was approached by two men one who showed a badge and had a gun on his hip and asked me what the alcohol was for. I told them that I planned to drink it (obviously) and they made me take out my wallet and grabbed it from my hand to remove my ID. (Yes, I am of legal age.) They questioned me even though my ID clearly says my age and then proceeded to make my girlfriend leave the store and wait outside because she did not have hers on her. (We went to pick up food and stopped here on the way home). I got approached and embarrassed by armed “security” in the middle of the store even though I did nothing wrong. His reasoning was “I looked young”. Which regardless of his assumptions or how he profiled me, wouldn’t it make sense to ID me at the counter? You’re not deterring young people from buying liquor just someone of age from actually spending money in the store. The employee at the counter asked for my ID yet again even after stating he saw security approach me. I spent $172 and some change and I regret giving them a penny of my money. The security team was so unprofessional and rude, definitely felt like they were abusing their “power”."

"The wide selection of everything I need is spectacular. Every new wine, beer, canned cocktail, tequila, etc, is available quickly after release. The staff is also always friendly and willing to assist in finding the best quality, whatever the need. Glad to say this is my neighborhood liquor store!!"
