"It used to be my go to gun shop. A month ago I wanted to order a pistol through them and called, left vm. Then called previous owner got the new owner’s cell and called, left vm. Never got a call back. So I bought it somewhere else. I don’t know if they are still in business."

Had to finally contact my credit card company to get the charge reversed. Website is also down. I guess they are no longer in business?"

"*Former employee disclaimer* Great shop. My go-to, still. Even if I spend a bit more (a tiny bit compared to huge corporations), I know where my money is going. I saw the disgruntled employee reviews and thought I should add my thought's, as a former employee. I would never think of bashing a well run business. Margins are minimal, an amazing amount of sales and backgrounds are processed each day, and they do it with a smile. Old school customer service. American Sportsman deserves 5-stars. If you've been there, you probably know this already. If not, try it."

"Had a very lovely experience at American Sportsman! Everyone in Delaware has been incredibly nice (we moved here recently) and this place was no exception. I used their FFL service for an out of state transfer, which they gave very helpful direction over the phone ahead of time. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and helpful and the store mascot Max the sheepadoodle won me over immediately :) highly recommend."
